Let me guess every time GRJ showed his vaunted speed by shoe shining Lomo's gloves you gave him the round right

The judges had it too close, whilst GRJ fought like a top fighter should be was out boxed for the majority of the fight. Lomo had too much timing, defence and intelligence for GRJ.

    9-3 to Lomo

Great stamina by Lomachenko, towards the end of the fight he looked quicker than Russell at times.

Nope, this looked like an amateur bout, he was fencing, not fighting. Backpedaling in a straight line every time Russel rushed forward. As for Russel, no comment. Doing the same thing over and over from the oppening bell, his corner was useless. Lomachenko could have lost the fight De La Hoya - Trinidad style due to low punch output in late rounds.

I had it 118-110 for Loma, who was comfortable throughout the entire fight. Actually he could have and should have knocked GRJ out who was hurt and there for the taking. Loma's body shots were hellacious, bordering on the disgusting, they slowed GRJ right down and he just had no answer for them. Fast hands don't mean **** when you aren't landing cleanly, the best man clearly won and won convincingly.

Loma has no aggression. No killer instinct. He's still stuck in fighting amateur. He could of got Russell out of there. He can't be content with looking for a points win each and every time.
The fight was boring to watch after 6 rounds. Every round was the same. Like watching the same 3 round amateur fight 4 times in a row.

Thats what I thought .Loma couldve stopped russell if he wanted to. What a masterclass that was. I am still abit lost for words. This guy is the real deal. He just float around the ring effortlessly.and i have never seen in my years of boxing how he is so defensive when hes on the offensive. A plus performance

And these people post regularly on ESB to make conversations with them here worthless.

Maybe, Xelloss, you make a thread with a title "A punch landed on a glove does NOT count"? I think it will be useful, and it's a shame I say this on a boxing forum...

What if the guy hitting gloves/arms/air is barking when he throws punches?
Can he get a half point or something?

I think it plays well into this whole "I'm a boss" swag thing - bark and grunt louder DMX style, this may help you win the fight.

This is what you call coming into a fight a weight class or two heavier (or in this instance, cheating)

Lomachenko put on an absolute clinic. That was masterful. Loma is the real deal.
