Loma proves to be a legit talent by schooling GRJ.

Old school tough guy Salido is really underrated for being able to handle a real talent like Loma.

This guy keeps beating guys he shouldn't be able to beat.

I know Salido came in overweight and was rough but you still gotta give him credit.

Anyway, do you guys think there will be a rematch and if so who you got?

Salido is still top 5 fighter in the division like he was prior to his victory over Lomo.

Prior to Lomo, Salido had only lost to the two best in the division in Garcia and Gamboa. He only became old and shot by certain cretins on this forum who didn't want to celebrate with Salido they'd rather use him declare him old/shot so they could try to run down Lomo as being a hype job.

Remember prior to the Lomo fight Salido had just bust up Cruz for the title.

Very impressive, while Lomachenko has likely improved since that fight he still doesn't really throw punches when on the back foot.

He is at his best when coming forward and working in the inside which is always going to be tough against Salido.

Agree. Salido is a tough out for anyone imo and I don't see it as an easy fight in the rematch.

Salido's a rough customer who capitalized on every trick in the book (legal or not) and, primarily, on Lomachenko's lack of experience.

I'd love to see a rematch for Lomachenko's next fight in a neutral location.

He only looking good to the cabdrivers of Texas.

Everyone knows that the scumbag intentionally came overweight, had the referee on his side, judges and a training camp based on low blows to secure a victory. Even with all those advantages he almost got stopped in the 12th.

A rematch at 126 (if Salido can make that weight) with a competent ref sees Salido get stopped.

Ad that would have ben the probable result the first time too, under the conditions I just mentioned.

True True. Mikey is one of the most talented fighters in the sport period. I'm skeptical about his future because I get the feeling he just doesn't love boxing enough to become great.

Don't think Salido can make 126 lbs otherwise he would have done first time.

I think Lomachenko wins in a rematch but even in this fight when backing up against Russell he didn't let his hands go.

He would need to be aggressive and fight on the inside at time with Salido.

Considering Gary Russell's opposition was never that good, last night's fight doesn't change anything.

    Salido proven. Loma loses.

    Russell unproven. Loma wins.

Whatever man. He won. Did he use dirty tactics? Yes. But he won period

I don't like the way Ward fights but I'm not gonna stand here and say that Carl Froch beat him because I don't like Wards tactics.

If you watched that fight you'll know that Salido deserves no credit. Pacquiao, Mayweather or Rigondeaux would be likely to lose against someone who comes in illegally heavy and then spends the entire fight looking for opportunities to fowl. Especially if the referee has similar competence to Laurence Cole. In a fair fight Lomachenko is extraordinarily likely to win a UD, almost to the point of making the rematch a pointless exercise.

No way. Pac at feather would have eaten that Salido for breakfast. Overweight or not. Dirty tactics or not.
