Just seen 2 MMA shows on Boxnation this week. WTF? Love the station but MMA alongside the 1 year running of Pac v DLH it is getting a bit much now. Boxing. Not MMA.
Damn them for trying to expand the appeal of the station and get more subscribers in! Anyone would think they're trying to make money rather than run a station based on your individual needs.
I don't see the problem - its not as if they are going to be cutting down on any boxing content in order to show MMA.
I might be wrong but I have noticed you have recently started to take a slightly softer tone towards Warrren/BN...are u beginning to realise why we need them or am I just imagining it? And yes, MMA should be a ratings winner although its not my cup of tea really.
I don't mind MMA but usually only watch the UFC stuff that is on BT Sports but I wouldn't complain if I was to get more fights even if it was MMA for my subscription!!
Of course they are going to show a lot of repeats -- they can't possibly show live boxing 24 hours a day! And if you aren't interested in the repeats it's hardly a big deal. People buy the channel for the live boxing on most weekends.
I've no issue with BoxNation. Why would I? I simply have stated again and again that I don't believe it's a viable business. In time I expect to be proven correct. FW has already given a huge amount of equity away in order to raise liquidity and from what I hear the business is still below break-even numbers for subscribers. That said, I'd be an idiot to want it to fail.
I can't stand mma rubbish I won't be watching it and the repeats are getting a bit tedious why show PAC vs de la Hoya on a never ending loop. They must be able to use other old fights .
BT have the rights to the UFC for years. As for MMA it's good filler content but when the channel was launched weren't we promised domestic cards nigh on every week? That's the worry for me- why has the domestic action dried up to once a fortnight?
