They were the same weight. Lomachenko was just much more talented, harder punches, better defense, more accurate with his punches, lateral movement was really fantastic, stamina fantastic..................

not this fight night weight again.

it doesnt matter what weight the fighter is the night of the fight. there is no rule for this unless otherwise specified in the contract.

The same people said Fl;oyd was WAY BIGGER than Marquez too, even though there was maybe 3-4 lbs in the difference.

Some people also try to say Floyd is bigger than Pac even though they're the same weight.

What was Russell and Lomas fight night weigh in anyway?

He said: "I don't believe he has what it takes to win this fight. He's not a volume puncher, he tries to be more accurate.

"Even if he tries to outbox me he doesn't have the hand speed and boxing ability to make it a tough fight. I am overall physically bigger and stronger and it won't be a good thing for him.

lol. It was the deciding factor, IMO. I have no doubt Russell would've won with ease, probably via brutal KO in the early rounds, had Loma not had that 1/2 lb weight advantage.

lol. Truth be told, one of his turds probably would've weighed even more than that. At least double I should imagine, maybe more. If that's the case, Loma would've been the one who was at such a great, insurmountable disadvantage. lol :good

I just find it amusing how these idiots are citing a ½ lb weight advantage for Loma as an excuse for Russell getting beat, but when Salido intentionally decides to miss the stipulated weight by 3 whole pounds and then rehydrates a further 19 lbs on top of that and comes in a full 11 lbs heavier, well it's A OK. lol

Loma made a difficult task against a super quick-fisted and talented operator look relatively easy. Very impressive performance. Could've got him out of there too if he'd really stepped on the gas at the right moments, IMO.

Thanks, both pretty good sized FW's

I can see Loma going to 130, pretty easily.

Loma is no Spinks.....or vice versa..my comparison was simply based on the physical similarities within different weight classes.

    That's why they use weigh-scales.

    Looks don't count.
