again, this seems like what hbo/greenburg used to do when they signed that exclusivity deal with gbp.

showtime now also has to show what haymon/gbp feeds them.

He has to rebuild after the loss to Herrera, bro.
Lots of fighters have tune ups after a loss.

Honestly although it would be disappointing it would make sense that after some big paydays and brutal fights (all within a small period of time) then becoming the unified champ it would be no surprise that all of a sudden Garcia's heart is no longer in boxing...It's no good having fights if you haven't got the drive anymore...however I don't believe that's the case...he has been boxing for too long...has his own gym...to bail out now would be odd...

Garcia got a wakeup call with Herrera and now he will be another cherry-picker.

Wake Up Call yes, Cherry Picker No

I think it is more so a "rehab" or "tune up" of the sorts. He is maybe trying to change up style and wants to be more comfortable with it before he steps it up again.

Herrera may have beat him, but it was a hell of bout

Fighting a guy who isn't even ranked in the top 20 and you're the Undisputed Champion in your division, yea that's the beginning of a cherry-picker.

Give him a break, he's had a serious high level run of fights. He deserves a slightly easier one before moving onto another big fight.
