After watching an excellent win for him last night I thought to myself how much better can he get? After nearly 410 career fights when will he peak or has he peaked? Will his long and extensive amateur career take its toll on him or is he the same as anyone else his age with regards to his body? What do you think his next move will be? He is already established himself at world level so I would imagine he will keep fighting champions/contenders until he is ready to move up? I would like to see him avenge his loss to Salido and then maybe Juanma Lopez? I wouldn't think he will go near Garcia right now, far too early.
Anyone else think he might beat Rigo in a few years with the right fights under his belt and Rigo moving up at some point?
his very fresh id say, you have to take into acount that them 400 fights took place from the age of about 10 to 25, thats fifteen years that is about 23-24 3 round fights a year taken stoppages into account thats around 60 rounds of fighting on average a year with headgear and soft gloves and on top of that he took a ridiculously small number of punches in the amatuers, his very fresh he can still imporve a great deal he still hasnt adapted very well to pro boxing and it could take him another half a dozen fights before he gets near the top of his game
I think he has adapted well to the pro game. He just beat Russell who has had 24 pro fights (I think) and went the distance with Salido who is seasoned and holds wins over Juanma Lopez x2 and went the distance with JMM. 3 fights in and he is a champ, millionaire and has the experience of 2 x twelve rounders, finishing strong both times.i still don't think he is at his best right now, being in with the better fighters will make him better. As for beating Rigo, I wouldn't like to say. Rigo took Donaire apart and he is much more solid offensively than Lomachenko IMO.
You cant even try to compare Audley with Lomenchenko. However saying this if they stick him in with Mikey Garcia next the WBO Super-Featherweight champion then id pick him to lose
Why in gods name would they now ask him to move up in weight and make him challenge one if the p4p best? Are they now trying to fast track him to middleweight? They will give him a few easy defenses and then maybe try and unify the division
Easily a 3-4-5 weight world champion. No rush though, he should settle now, work on some things and try and unify his division.
why in gods name would they give him a world title fight in his second pro bout? Hes a cash cow and they are milking him:hi:
Nobody is milking him Terry. Loma wanted a title fight in his first fight but when told it wasn't possible demanded it in his second fight. The kid isn't trying to hit and run, he's looking to go down as an ATG.
Yeah and they want him to step up and fight his promotional stablemate who is also a WBO champion:hi:
Lucky he's not from the UK. He'd a been through the milkman, the postman and the delivery driver by now. If he was lucky he's be getting the plumber next.
He was arguably the best amateur ever, what's wrong with him taking that fight? Surely he's a breath of ****ing fresh air as he's not going to sit around wasting our time with 20 first round knock-outs of absolute no-hopers? We should feel privileged to have someone like him around. Just goes to show what a waste of time it is building a record of 24-0 versus bums as GRJ did.
