I think he ruined his legacy by returning after prison, and for what? a few paper belts and extra money. Don King organised a 7 fight deal for Tyson while he was in prison to the tune of $120m Im not surprised Tyson took the bait. I think Tyson became MORE overrated after prison, than he ever was during his first (and proper) career
I said it because it's obvious and widely considered as well. Tyson was presented as the unbeatable machine that would wreck anybody, and obviously that wasn't true. I see that you are very fast to jump in and argue with anyone not holding Tyson in a very high regard so I guess it would be pointless for us to start some kind of a debate.
Trainers and conermen are everytihnng to a fighter. Uncle Roger and Floyd Sr made Jr the fighter he is. He mightn't need strategic advive between rounds but thats only because its given to him in traing camp. Frazier would not of beaten Ali without the gameplan given to him by Fuch. Dundee definitely attributed to Ali's success. Foreman never wanted to be on the oppposite side of Dundee ever again so he hired him himself. All the greats have a famous pairing with their trainers. Why turn that into a negative to discredit Tyson?
is there any need for that, disgusting !! im just stating a valid fact that tyson was limited skillwise and lost to limited oponents and was knocked out by the likes of kevin mcbride and danny williams
No that's kind of what a debate is all about. You give your argument and others give a counter-argument. When he was old and shot. Tyson was clearly the best HW in the world at one time and prime-for-prime one of the best HW's of all time.
Because he DUCKED Foreman, stuggled or lost against most of the larger heavyweights he fought, never fought Bowe, paid Lennox Lewis step aside money in his prime, fought Holyfield when he thought he was shot and lost twice, then finally took a shot at Lewis and got ktfo'd. That is why his resume is at least vastly over-rated. :deal Was up? Wassup?:hi:
Foreman called Tyson out and refused to sign the contract...3 TIMES!!! But Tyson was the one ducking? Tyson's resume stacks up well against every other ATG in the division's history. That is why he is at least vastly underrated by you and all the other misinformed schoolboys in the general forum.
