19-3 (3 knock outs) lost 2 out of his last 6. how does this happen? how does this guy get a shot? Garcia has officially no shame and is taking no chances after his last schooling :-(
Todays light welterweights.:verysad Worst era ever. Old, shot, mentally ******ed Zab Judah giving tought fights for these poor *******s.
Golden Boy Promotions is back at Barclays Center on Saturday, August 9, with a SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® tripleheader featuring the sport’s brightest young stars in pivotal world title fights. Boxing on Brooklyn’s biggest stage will be Unified Junior Welterweight World Champion Danny “Swift” Garcia who will meet “Lightning” Rod Salka, IBF 140-Pound Titleholder Lamont Peterson who will face New York’s Edgar “El Chamaco” Santana and Brooklyn’s own Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs will challenge Australia’s Jarrod “Left Jab” Fletcher for the vacant WBA World Middleweight Championship.
Atleast Santana can punch a bit, Danny's opponent is useless. I too would rather see him fight Judah again than this.
Ya I mentioned that on another thread. Instead of putting three name fighters against average to pathetic opposition, why not just make Lamont and Danny fight with one undercard. Someone like petr petrov. Good action fighter on the cheap against a decent opponent. I swear the budgets would be the same as this farce. Haymon and showtime think we're idiots and will be swayed by big names fighting garbage. I hope 1000 people show up for this.
ehhh...the only thing is....for garcia and peterson to fight each other...they are prob going to both want a nice bump in pay.....here they are paying those guys prob a good chunk less each than what theyd want to fight each other......those two alone, faced against each other, is prob over the entire budget for this card
I don't think it would be. Take that Jacobs, selka and fletcher money and throw it to Garcia and Lamont. The Santana money should pay for a decent undercard(50 to 75k)
