    Showtime also deserves flack for accepting this Rod guy in the first place.They are as bad as Haymon for allowing this farce.
    Garcia has become a joke and his old man is even worse.Screw both of them for trying to get away with this hustle.

    No reason why him and Patterson shouldn't be fighting. Harrera was the gimmie fight. You can't have another one being the unified champion.

    So now we get the 62nd best welterweight with 4 KO'S and a loss to Corley instead of the 77th best lightweight with 3 ko's and a loss to Ricardo Alvarez. ..Way to step up there Danny! Why do I have showtime?

    Garcia has had a lot of hard fights recently. Herrera, Lucas, Zab and Khan he deserves a soft touch. Guy can't fight top opposition every time out. This is not a video game.:deal

    pac has been fighting top opposition for ages the only one you could say was not was rios and even him is not really a tune up........

    Pac is a ATG Garcia isn't. Garcia is still developing as a fighter and came up the hard way he didn't have anything given to him. He has faced tough opposition so he can take a soft touch for his next fight.

    Thats true but Harrerra was the soft touch. I didn't oppose that fight. He earned it , even if it did go wrong he still got the win.
    Go for Peterson then take a soft touch. Its not like Peterson is some bogeyman or anything.

    Herrera was supposed to be the soft touch, which obviously didn't go as planned. But this is beyond a soft touch. Bracero held some promise a few years back, but what has he done to get this title shot?

    Got to give me at least 1 worthwhile fight on this card in order for me to watch. If we were talking prospects, sure, I'd watch whoever was out there. But we're talking a fairly well entrenched champion, with multiple defenses under his belt. This is cringeworthy.

    Herrera isn't a soft touch he's very skilled and dangerous look at his resume. BTW Peterson is a world class fighter and isn't an easy fight for Danny. Danny will take on a top fighter in his next fight let the guy have a break. He's about to move up to 147 soon where tons of good fighters are.

    I feel you but the guy basically lost his last fight. Think of this as a confidence builder. Most say he lost his last fight anyways so this fight isn't as bad as some think.

    What about Allakverdiev or Vernon Paris.....both are big names with only 1 L each and neither has been destroyed....although Paris did get schooling n quit vs Zab

    I get that. I do. But Garcia/Showtime/Haymon have to at least make an attempt at legitimacy when they're trying to sell something. Nobody's saying he has to rematch Matthysse in this fight(though it needs to happen at some point). But get world class opposition in to fight for the lineal jww title. Jeez.
