    Right. Pretty dumb. I think they just decided that Andre was the guy they wanted to represent boxing so it didn't matter who he last fought.

    I went and had a look at some previous nominations and awards.

    Mosley got nominated in '09 for beating Margarito. His only fight of the year.

    Calzaghe was nominated for beating Hopkins (good win) and Roy Jones (...)

    ***y Sergio was nominated for beating Barker and Dzinzurik.

    Manny won it for beating Clottey and Margarito

    Floyd WON THE AWARD in 2008. Also known as the year he took off. He also won it in 2010 with his only fight being against Shane.

    From 2007-2012, the only years I have in front of me, Floyd and Manny are the only ones that won it in any given year. It's all politics, and probably a lot of bribery.
