That rant was years in the making and well deserved.

Boxing may be the only sport where some fans think it's cute or entertaining to allow the best at that sport, the ones generating millions of dollars in profit for the network and driving interest in the sport, to be publically harangued by a color commentary guy.

Now Mayweather's taken that revenue generating ability over to Showtime and Merchant is broadcasting in Macau butchering names of fighters, just as senile as ever. Yeah, great job, HBO.

 

I agreed with him, I always felt that Merchant's been biased against him.

To add to that, if he was fifty years younger, he still would've got his ass kicked. He never called it like it was for Mayweather, he called it like he wanted it to be what he wanted unknowledgeable people to think.

yeh especially when he was younger. but they have settled on eachother a little more now. i think floyd copped way to much slack for the ortiz ordeal. he had been trying to do the sneako headbuts all night after having the audacity to keep bringing up floyds elbow and pleading with the ref before the fight in the change rooms to please look out for it. floyd did not use his elbow in that fight and started opening on ortiz with sharp combos in round 4!... this is floyd he barely ever sits down on combos nowdays and to do it in round 4 showed us exactly where this fight with glass heart ortiz was going.

ortiz deserved everything he got. he wanted to play dirty and he got beaten at that to.

 

It was embarrassing to watch.

You would never see PAC acting the ghetto thug like that.

The same Pac that gets his head rubbed like a dayum pet by his promoter in post fight interviews? Yeah, real 'adult' stuff there.
