We don't know the facts. Lets not pretend that we are behind the scenes. The fact is that Schaefer made Oscar a lot of money, and if you take Schaefer out of the equation from 2007 to 2014. Chances are there is no more Golden Boy. Oscar wasn't paying attention. That company could have easily died if not for Schaefers professionalism.

It's called common sense. You have a CEO signing fighters to the company without putting them into contracts? And at the same time building relationships with their advisor, who also asked Golden Boy to RELEASE Schaefer from his 2018 commitment? The writing is on the wall, son.

A CEO's job is to do what's in the best interests of the company, not himself. Schaefer did some great work with GBP to build up the brand while Oscar was taking it in the A$$ from hookers, but all the while he was putting the pieces in place to further his own agenda.

None of you will ever know the ins a nd outs. This is a private arbitration right. Why, is oscar demanding this? Too prevent more of his indiscretions been exposed to the world?

    From the article:
The reason that the case is going to private arbitration rather than court, where the records would be public, is because Schaefer's employment agreement with Golden Boy has a clause stating that if either party sued the other it would be done through arbitration rather than a lawsuit, according to the source.

I reek of agenda? Is it really that bias to say that the CEO of a company made the owner of said company a lot of money? I'm going by what people in GBP have said already. Hopkins has said that himself. That Schaefer was in all the meetings, all the scheduling, all the decision making was Schaefer. Oscar was absent. Schaefer did the heavy work. The fighters thanked him, not Oscar. Is that bias to you/

The same reason why when women divorce their rich husbands who gave them an upgrade in quality of life, they still move forward and pursue half his net worth, along with alimony, and child support. It's because they are bitter and greedy. Period.

Omg, will you stop replying when you are damn clueless? What kind of moron associates alimony with GBP suing Schaefer for damages?

I thought it was a nice analogy, Oscar and Schaefer were in a business relationship (marriage). One side didn't agree with the actions that the other was planning, and proceeded to end the business relationship on his own terms before he was forced out.(arguments, disagreements, divorce) And instead of just moving on to the next thing, Oscar is hurt and wants to drag the whole thing out and milk Schaefer for whatever he feels entitled to.(as women do) Despite Schaefer busting his ass to make sure that the company (the family) stood where it needed to be. While Oscar was getting his nose wet.

Then why did Golden Boy extend his contract in 2012?
