It was a cherry pick. Determining whether a fight is a cherry pick or not based on peoples expectations is poor criteria. People tend to over estimate Mayweather and under estimate Pacquiao. And if this is how you determine cherry picks, I guess all of Pac's fights after Oscar were cherry picks. Pacquiao was the favorite in all of his fights.

Hatton wasn't a cherry pick for either, but I think Pacquaio's victory should be deemed better due to Hatton fighting at his weight of 140. Hatton was a very good fighter, it's just he lost to two great fighters in Floyd and Manny.

Regarding Mosley I can't see how 12 months can make a fighter become a cherry pick, if it wasn't for Floyd then it isn't for Pacquaio.
