Why is it so difficult for fans to appreciate both fighters. Not saying you have to like them both, but can't people appreciate the greatness that both bring to the table. Yes, both have avoided fights , or drained fighters, etc etc.

i have no problem with either pac or macne not fighting. they already had 4.

both can say no. it's up to them. but im nto gonna lie, i still want see a fifth fight. they are so evenly matched up, anything can happen.


pac has also shown he is already beyond a loss or a win.

i think he is approaching a dela hoya or tyson level: win , loss or draw, people will watch and he is going to get paid.

Both. Arum picks the possible opponents to keep it in-house, Roach chooses between them and dictates the terms (weight, gloves, etc.) Pacquiao takes on the cherry picked opponent.

Pac is good, I don't know if he should be tested, but I didn't think anything of it until he got scared of a few blood samples. I never said Pac is one dimensional, he just doesn't make key adjustments. And he does do better against "come forward" boxers. Roach himself confirmed this :deal

Mayweather is a small WW in terms of weight, most welters rehydrate to 160+.

Everyone was saying why did Pacquiao take the DLH fight and thought Pac would get murdered. I can pull many posts even on here of most people saying the same. Now, people rewrite history and say it was a cherrypick after Pac dominates the fight :nono

 

Marquez doesn't make $6 mil without Pac, but he brings in the fans too. Pac isn't forcing him, you're right. He could take the $6 mil or make less elsewhere.

How much did Pacquiao earn before being offered $40 million? Mayweather isn't forcing him, he can't. He can take the $40 million or make half of that else where.

Like I said, he's low balling Bradley and Marquez. The only reason they accept is because they're all Top Rank, they have no other options.

i wont even argue against it.....i think though most assumed that since oscar seemed up for it that he could handle the weight thing well enough and somewhat near himself.......he was dead wrong.......i wont take away from pacs performance totally.....but lets be straight....that version of oscar could do nothing....wouldnt matter who oscar was fighting in that shape....he was getting worked by just about any top tier welter that night....

most assumed since oscar was willing to take on the challenge...that he could handle it....thats why most were favoring him.....but he wasnt even close to being able to take on the task of draining down.....

Sounds like Martinez fighting Cotto. You can't take anything away from Pacquiao's or Cotto's performances, they fought extremely well, but their opponent was no where near 100%.
