He seems impressive so far. Here's some highlights of his fight with Travis Walker, who he stopped in round 2:

He's a bit raw, but certainly has potential. Be interesting to see how he develops.

 Not really... Well in case of quality over quantity you have a case.

At this point, Washington might be too old to do much.
He is inexperienced, wild and has bad balance. And i am not sold on his chin but maybe thats because of his balance.

    He has potential tho.

Can anyone explain how Wilder got ranked #1 WBC without fighting anyone even nearly ranked? Knocked down by a small fat out of shape old Sconiers, not to mention others?

:yep Wilder has had more time to season in the gym while Washington is getting the quicker education in the ring.

I like him because he is a local boy, and has fought in the Bay Area CA where I am from.

I think Martin is a better prospect.

Not all that impressed with Washington... He's powerful, but I think he loses as soon as he steps up. If his chin is good he'll go a bit further than Wilder or Mitchell though. I agree that Martin is a better prospect as well.

i'd favor him over the majority of american heavyweights at this point. what he lacks in skill he makes up for with athleticism. he's not easy to hit either.
