He fought PDL months after his loss to Broner but only fought half a fight.....the fight was stopped due to an accidental clash of heads. It was a technical decision.

I thought PDL beat Adrien but it was a young and inexperienced Broner.....Paulie lost but it was a very close fight. But again.......who did Gamboa beat that makes him a type of win for Crawford that would cause anyone to claims he has a better resume than Broner?

Stylistically Paulie would cause Gamboa all kinds of problems. He would present the same problems he did for Broner but wouldn't be able to impose his will over Paulie. Imagine what a 140 lbs Miguel Cotto would have done to Gamboa and remember what kind of performance Paulie out up against the PR slugger.

Broner barely beat fringe contenders, and was getting hit on by Rees, who was a bum.

Gamboa would not let Paulie land anything on him. At the time he fought Cotto he was better and regarded much more than when he fought Broner.

Gamboa has been dropped and hit by much lesser guys as well... He's struged against guys like Jeminez and Barros so "bums" can also have success against Gamboa.

TC vs Broner, Broner wouldn't be able to outbox TC. He has a power edge slightly, but that's not the fighter he is. Their speed is close but TC's footwork is better.

Gamboa wouldn't have a choice....Paulie would find his mark on Yuriorkis consistently if they were ever to fight and back at 140 Paulie was a young and inexperienced fighter....he wasn't better back then....he was just undefeated and untested. Miguel was his first real test in his then young career.

But Gamboa's fights weren't close IMO. He is a careless fighter though, even Mikey Garcia didn't want to fight him.

Possibly it would play out this way but I feel the style advantage goes with Broner.....the experience is another factor that has me leaning toward a Broner victory over TC if we are lucky enough to see it come to fruition.

His last fight before this one was closer than it should have been. marlin wright shouldn't have won any rounds against Gamboa and he took a handful of rounds against the Cuban star.

Who knows.....Paulie wasn't supposed to give Cotto as much trouble as he did back at jr welterweight but he did and proved he was a top fighter in this sport....Paulie had some ups and downs but has always been competitive against the best. Gamboa hasn't shown the same consistency against lesser opposition.

They won't fight because they're on different networks. I'll give you experience, but Gamboa had experience and looked what happened to him. TC has a higher sealing IMO, Broner is gonna have trouble with elite level fighters.

Crawford just beat the much talented Gamboa. He'll most likely outclass Broner.
