Setting aside the promotional companies and the networks,,... First there's Lara who will beat Canelo,, second there's Cotto.... Third there's Mayweather.... What I really want is Golovkin vs Ward..... Make that fight happen!!

unless the "cold war" ends, the only way it happens is if Canelo did what Erislandy Lara wouldn't do:
1. Leave GBP(not happening)
2. Move to 160 and get in position for a mandatory shot at GGG's WBA belt
3. Move to 160 and grab another belt and hope HBO makes an exception for title unification(possible if he fights Cotto)

It will be interesting to see what happens with Canelo-Cotto, providing Canelo beats Lara.

I think they will fight, Canelo is an Oscar guy. When Canelo wants the fight the fight will get made. I have heard that he does actually want the fight, at the right time.

The biggest obstacle here is not promoter but TV and sponsors. Buuuuutt... same issue is in play with potential Cotto fight. Cotto his indicated he plans to finish his career with HBO. So will Canelo jump to HBO PPV for certain fights? If he does to fight Cotto, smart money says he eventually fights Golovkin.

 

Golovkin said that he would go down for Canelo or Mayweather. Lets do this. Drained golovkin against fast hand boxers

 

GGG being contracted to fight on HBO makes fights against Lara, Canelo and May weather tough to make.
