Mayweather is apparently back in training without an opponent lined up for his september PPV. Brook and Porter are fighting each other. Thurman is too unknown and now with such little time left to promote the fight I doubt the numbers would be successful. I'm not even going to mention any Top Rank names for obvious reasons. He could fight Marquez in a rematch which no one would be interested in including Marquez. Cotto is red hot right now and gives Mayweather a chance to get a middleweight title but I doubt he goes up to 160. Canelo and Lara are pitted against eachother in July. Chino is the only rational choice. The first fight was surprisingly competitive, many thought a draw or 7-5 either way would have been appropriate. Chino puts on a show and makes his money, he's coming to take your head off not box off the back foot like canelo did :patsch Khan is another option but idk who would buy that except for the british fans. Thoughts?

    WAR CHINO :bbb

Khan, Judah, Matthysse and Herrera were homeless?, dumbass.

On topic, it looks like it's going to be Maidana II. With Khan out of the picture, who else is it going to be?, highly doubt Arum will work out a Cotto fight at 160.

    You are an idiot.

He's had one of the toughest stretch in professional boxing.

    Matthysse (S Ranked win)
    Khan (A+ Ranked win)
    Morales x2 (B)
Zab coming off that Vernon Paris win (B+)
    Herrera (B+)

    :rofl:hi:

From the pictures i seen it looks like hes not defending his WW title. looks big like fighting Cotto or defending 154 titles but i dont know who he can fight t the weight.

Most likely Chino, dont need to promote that fight

I talked to Robert Garcia at this week's Friday Night Fights card and he said they were playing the waiting game. I asked if he thought the Sept. date would be pushed back and he said if it's Maidana they would be ready.

I'd rather not see Mayweather-Maidana II. The first fight was semi-competitive only because Mayweather decided to fight an entertaining style of fight. Much like Bradley fighting Provodnikov. He could have boxed and made it a near-shutout, but it would have been much less entertaining. Mayweather wants to keep his PPV numbers up and making fights appear dangerous, making himself appear beatable will attract more viewers.

With limited fights remaining in Mayweather's career, I'd rather not see rematches, but unfortunately it appears we're going to get one.

Because Maidana wanted that bare knuckle brawl, only shot he has at beating Floyd.

I know Danny has had a great run at 140 but he just got schooled by herrera and now he's facing Rod Salka? A former lightweight at only his second fight at 140. Only his sixth fight scheduled above 8 rounds. Compiling a very impressive record of 19-3 with an astonishing 3KO's this will be Danny's second consecutive tuneup. Rod Salka sounds like a homeless person to me (relatively)
