In his fight with Saildo we see Lomachenko constantly pushed back and throughout the entire fight he never countered Saildo as Saildon came forth.
What's more amazing is that as he was stepping back, Loma hardly ever even threw his jab to keep distance.
After rewatching the fight I had Saildo clearly winning the first 4 rounds mostly due to Loma's inactivity and excessive holding.

Saildo is pretty slow and awkward. He seems to be a step below and the featherweight version of the poor man's Glen Johnson.

I'm starting to get afraid for Lomachenko and the punishment will will absorb from Gary Russell Jr.
I'm really hoping that Russell doesn't ruin this new amateur boxer. :yep

lomachenko was up against salido and lawrence cole. the two of them gave him more than he could handle. between all the no calls and cole interjecting himself anytime loma looked like he was on a roll....it was virtually impossible for him to win...but he still almost pulled it off when he had salido holding on for dear life in the last round. it was salido that looked like the amateur that needed rescuing from cole.

hopefully they'll have a neutral judge in carson. i'm looking forward to that fight.

He can't fight for **** on the inside. He may beat GRJ because Gary's defense doesn't look great to me.
Superb offence though so it should be a great fight.

It still is sort of true, when he was forced back in the Salido fight and Russell fight he would focus on defence and wouldn't counter or throw much punches at all when going back.

It is when he comes forward that he is hard to beat.

Yes it's something he has to fix, he sometimes seems to be almost trapped onto the backfoot even though he's not getting hit at all.

He gets pressured and he only defends and doesn't counter at all so as long as the opponent keeps on pressuring or getting their shots off first he's completely ineffective offensively for that period, he needs to make good counters, let his hands go when the opponent misses, make him pay and take over again, if he doesn't fix this someone will exploit this weakness and he'll always have trouble with that Salido style.

If Loma was all that great he would have dominated or made adjustments with Salido like Gamboa and Garcia did, but all we hear is his fans make excuses for him.

Garcia made adjustments? Salido started coming on and he used the nose excuse to quit with alot fans calling him a no heart coward afterwards. How quickly we forget.

Lomachenko beat Salido, Laurence Cole beat Lomachenko. Judges should never have counted the punches on Lomachenko's legs, balls, hips, etc., hitting on the break, after the bell, holding on for dear life while out on his feet. Lomachenko is great fighter, and he can fight..................
