is in the final stages of receiving a license from the New York State Athletic Commission.

Mayweather Promotions' license application in New York has no additional issues and licensure is pending only a comptroller's approval, NYSAC director Eric Bentley said today.

Look like TMT will be promoting this sept. fight.

LOL saw this coming from a mile away. You know damn well they're gonna try and pull schaefer over as well.

And who the hell is TMT going to work with?

    Not Oscar. (for obvious reasons)
    Not Arum. (for obvious reasons)
Not Main Events. (Because of the stevenson/kovalev issue)
    Not 50. (bad blood)

Doesn't seem like there are many options there.

 Every promotional company except all the major ones I just mentioned? And it's not even about whether the other company wants to do business with them or not, it's whether Schaefer or whoever is at the helm is still too spiteful to work with guys like Arum (a proven fact) or DLH (it's just a given)

True. I'm sure Golden Boy and Top Rank had very little options when they first started. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

You would think this would be obvious.

I really don't understand why folks believe these promoters (DiBella, Goosen, Don King, etc.) would turn down the opportunity to fly their banner over the ring and put some of their own stable on a fight card that will do something between 800K to 1mil in PPV buys.
