How would Meldrick Taylor do against:

    Belt Holders @ 135

    Miguel Vazquez
    Terrence Crawford

    Belt Holders @ 140

    Danny Garcia
    Chris ALgeri
    Jessie Vargas

    How does he stack up?

    lol

The real question is who would win out of Meldrick Taylor and a 140lb PBF.
I have no problem if people, and they do, say Meldrick beats PBF.

Taylor would dominate all of the above mentioned names. And I believe he would outwork Mayweather for a clear points win. Mayweather doesn't have the power to discourage Meldrick, and throws about half as many punches per round. Meldrick may not have as good of a defense as Floyd, but he is much busier and throws way faster in combination than Floyd. Meldrick has a style that is all wrong for Floyd (Note that Floyd has NEVER beaten a fighter remotely like Meldrick). I see Taylor winning a comfortable 9-3, or, 8-4 type decision.

He'd beat all of them and there would be no need for rematches

Floyd would have easily beaten Meldrick.

    11 rounds to 1

He would be the top guy at 140.

After the Chavez fight, he went to 147 and was a champ for about a year and a half.

Likewise, he'd have a belt at 147 and be third behind Floyd and Manny, but wouldn't spend too much long at the top level. Even with this WW talent pool being much weaker than it was in the early 90s.

He just simply took too much punishment, in fights and most likely the Philly gyms too.

OK, MVC, let me here you explain how Floyd would beat Meldrick. Please use boxing analysis, and not just your creepy man-crush that you seem to have for Floyd.

Is Meldrick Taylor's reach really only 66 inches?

Floyd is a fighter who could beat SRR/SRL/Duran/Hearns, he has that style to do it.

He would have ultra competitive fights with all of them and pull out wins more than half of the time.

Meldrick yes has the faster hands, but he would not be able to solve Floyd.

Floyd's laser right hands would find their mark. And his defense, his impenetrable defense

Floyd's footwork is far better and would move around and keep pot shotting Meldrick on route to a easy 11-1 decision win.

    :deal:deal

Meldrick would throw around 800 punches and land around 40

While Floyd would throw 400-450 and land about 260-300

    That's how Floyd wins.
