He can't and won't. When was the last time Khan outboxed anyone?, like seriously. The only fighter he outboxed was Maidana at 140 and still almost got killed late in the fight. Khan isn't exactly a skilled boxer, he simply outlands opponents with his predictable punches due to his speed. Take away his speed and he's beyond average at best.

People still think having speed means you have skills.

It means jack**** against opponents that also have speed like Mayweather and Pacquiao. These idiotic Khan fans think Mayweather and Pacquiao are Kotelnik and Judah.

He was outboxing Danny Garcia, then he got lit up. The Pacquiao fight would probably be similar. I'd expect him to look good in spots but his defense sucks and he can't take a punch.

Mayweather beats him with timing, Pacquiao leaps in to land a hook.

The Garcia fight is the perfect and best example of Khan's primitive ring IQ and predictable approach. He was literally being timed for that left hook over and over like Garcia was making it clear he was prepared to land this shot as Khan predictably hops forward with one-twos. He was able to escape that punch early due to it being the first round, but as the fight went Garcia was making it clear he's looking to time and catch Khan with that punch till he eventually did and it was lights out. Molina also timed and caught Khan with that punch over and over but sadly lacked the size and power to do any damage.

Being that predictable against Pacquiao is suicidal for Khan, which is why this fight won't happen.

Pacquiao can also land hard bombs moving backwards as he proved against Hatton. As Khan hops in with his predictable one-twos watch for Pacquiao to land a right hook that will literally have Khan hopping about and out of the ring.

Khan CAN outbox Pacquiao, but 9 times out of 10, he won't. He's got the range and speed for it but he doesn't stick to his game plan. I'm not saying he would or will, he has the ability, just not the brain for it.

I think Khan def COULD outbox Manny from distance but that's one of the knocks on Khan is he has the talent to outbox a lot of guys but he gets too confident in his speed, gets a little too aggressive, and gets clipped. Interesting fight for sure but I see a late KO for Manny

He doesn't have the ability, all he has is speed and nothing else. Take that away and he's nothing but an average predictable fighter. A predictable fighter can't outbox someone like Pacquiao, even a past it 35 years old Pacquiao.

    Pretty much.

I mean who cares if Khan was ahead of Garcia? He was outboxing him for a grant total of a round, maybe 2 :lol:

This was not exactly Mike Weaver-John Tate, Ray Mercer-Francisco Damiani.

Khan makes a lot of mistakes and he paid for it, big-time. Having speed, range, and a nice jab doesn't mean you are technically skilled. He has flaws a mile long. Many slower fighters are more technically sound and skilled than Khan, they're just slow so they get underrated and Khan has fast hands so his skills get overrated.

People still referring to the Garcia Khan, I mean get over it he is now a different fighter as in he has a different goal, a goal which he should always had and which fits his attributes, outpointing fighters at all costs.

It can become a boring fight so who cares most of Floyd's fights in his career been boring it's all about getting that W and this is what Hunter has installed into Khan now to just win rounds, Khan still to this date yet to be outboxed is a chess match.. You don't win a Olympic silver medal at the age of 17 without knowing how to box and box is something Khan knows how to do, winning rounds is like breakfast for him.

Khan is a problem at 147, a big problem, if this kid picks to box you instead of fighting you, I pick him to even outpoint Floyd...
