Was Mayweather's RECORD payment of $1.5 Million to Maidana an act of COWARDICE?

    FLOYD,biggest coward in boxing!

PAC will fight regardless whether he wins or lose, he can take a loss and bounce from it

FLOYD cheats its fans and the sport by paying $ to his advantage...whenever FLOYD hears PAC's name he shivers with fear...and it's on video.

PAC is no push over when it comes to terms, why ***BOY will never fight a real man.

Pac has no choice to bounce back. One his chin gets checked he goes to sleep on the job. Pac has no choice when it comes to terms. He's Bob's puppet.

Maidana's team has stated that he was never paid $1.5M to change gloves.

People take rumors as facts, or just pull stuff out of the air to support their agenda.

I don't know what the truth is, but it sounded odd that he would be paid that much. It would be even more odd for him to be paid that amount of money and then complain anyway about the gloves. Just imagine that you live in a 300k house that you have no intention of moving out of. Then imagine someone offers you $1.5M for the house. Would you take the money and then complain that the person forced you to move out?

Right, Maidana's team just willfully broke the contract without any repayment. Maidana's lawyers were licking their chops. 1.5 Million just fell out of the sky. That's why Maidana made 5.7 million instead of 4.2 million, just a coincidence that the difference is 1.5 MILLION.

That is an OPEN SHUT case.

It's very pathetic that Floyd would actually pay someone any sum of money, which could have been SUBSTANTIALLY more if Maidana would have declined to fight due to breach of contract in which he would have sued Mayweather promotions, and cost Mayweather much more than the $1.5 mil price tag.

Mayweather was so pathetic that instead of opting to follow through with the contract, he opted to negotiate THE BIGGEST PAYOFF IN BOXING HISTORY!!!!

I didn't say it didn't happen, where is the official proof? Until then it's a rumor.

    Here is the article:

    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...er-jr-says-fight-marcos-maidana-again-sept-13

Maidana wanted to wear a pair or gloves that had been approved by the Nevada State Athletic Commission but Mayweather objected. The gloves were considered better gloves for a puncher and Maidana is known for his power. So the sides made a deal for Maidana to change gloves the day before the fight.

Although neither side would disclose the terms of the deal -- or even admit that there was one -- sources with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com that Mayweather agreed to pay Maidana an additional $1.5 million to change gloves. That doubled Maidana's official purse, which was $1.5 million on his Nevada contract. However, sources told ESPN.com that Maidana was guaranteed $4.2 million and wound up earning at least $5.7 million, including the payment for the gloves change.

Really? Mayweather is the free agent here, supposedly. He can fight who he wants, supposedly. Last I heard, Mayweather had demands that Pacquiao avenge all his losses and sign up for TMT (The Many-roids Team) before he'd fight him. Maybe your anger should be at Mayweather who keeps pushing the goal-post back.
