Arum also works with other promotions, was Algieri with TOP RANK when he fought Provodnikov?. Was Mosley with TOP RANK when he fought Concreto?. Was Marquez with TOP RANK when he fought Pacquiao in the rematch?. Was Hatton with TOP RANK when he fought Pacquiao?. Was Hopkins with TOP RANK when he fought Pavlik?. Those are just some examples out of many out there.

Again I ask you this, how many of Mayweather's last 7 opponents weren't with Golden Boy?

Cotto has been a free agent for a while now. He is loyal to Todd DuBoef of Top Rank and has been doing 1 fight deals with them and says he will continue that.

why are you bringing up fight that were 5, 6 and almost 7 years ago? :huh

Arum is not going to risk Pacquiao. That much is clear. Mayweather is wiling to at least branch out a little bit and not fight at disgraceful 'catchweights' besides JMM and Canelo who offered 152 on his own.

There is a very clear difference here. Arum has essentially taken his ball and gone home.

I'm not giving Pacquiao credit for bull**** fights. If he wanted to take on a true Jr Middleweight, then I would have given him credit. You don't fight a guy who isn't rated at Jr Middleweight, who barely could get his hands on a license, who looked terrible in his last few outings. I can't give him credit for that. He's labeled as a 8 divison champ, when his 154 LB belt, came at a 150 LB catchweight over someone who hadn't done **** at 154. Like I said, its not about appreciation. It's the fact that it was a joke fight for a guy, who was AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME.

Clottey was also coming off a loss, and looked ALRIGHT against Cotto. A lot of people say that fighting a guy off a loss isn't a big deal, but it is when you're an ATG. He should have been fighting confident guys coming off of big victories. It's as simple as that.

I don't have to explain the Rios fight. Im okay with that. I just feel that it could have been someone else. Anyone else.

I've been a boxing "FAN" since the early 80's. Saying I'm not a true fan is just pure conjecture. I follow the smallest fighters to the largest fighters and I follow prospects as well as I'm able to. I watch fights from all over the world on a weekly basis with the help of the internet.

    Bull**** fights?

You mean like the guy Mayewather drug down to 152 and then PAID off?

    Like that one.

Mayweather has a RECORD of paying RECORD amounts.

NO doubt the story of the pay off to Canelo is true.

    As most suspected.

    That's pathetic.

Both Margarito and Clottey were highly ranked at WW and were much bigger than Manny. They were some of the best opponents available at the time, totally acceptable fights.

Was Pacquiao rated at 154 too?. Catchweight or not, anything from 147.1 to 154 is considered Light Middleweight. Hate on that all you want, you won't change anything. Moving up a weight division to fight a guy who was literally double his size is a "joke", sure thing man.

Clottey was coming off a 50/50 fight against Pacquiao, try twist that as much as you want, the fight is available for your viewing pleasure for free on YouTube. Many people back then thought he was more worthy of a fight than Cotto when Pacquiao announced his fight against Cotto.

So from being told that Alvarado was couldn't take that fight due to surgery you now jump to "Anyone else", have fun man.

You're over here defending **** fights. I'm not hating. Im telling the truth.

Double his size? a 15 pound disadvantage is double his size?

Your argument wasn't good fights, you said TOP COMPETITION.

    Clottey, Margarito are top competition?

15 pounds plus his height and reach, which are also worth considering when you're comparing sizes. Clottey definitely proved he's top competition when he gave Cotto hell.
