Hopkins DESPERATE to Piggyback off Kovalev's name

The reason why Hops number did poorly is due to fact that the fight was on showtime. HBO has more subscribers than Showtime. Don't believe compare Stevensons number when he fought on HBO to his show time number and you will see that his number decreased substantially. You can also compare Adrien Broner's number to his showtime number and you will also notice that his number went down when golden boy took him to Showtime.

 

Hopkins would surely find a way to frustrate Kovalev, and I will be interested to see how. But as someone who is 50 I know full well that what Hopkins is doing can’t be done a minute longer and I don’t see how he beats someone as formidable as Kovalev now. Kovalev has been mowing fighters down for some time now and deserves the best fights available. I really want to know what Richardson said about Jackson trained fighters because Kovalev looks very accomplished to me. My guess is that he is the class of the division.

I was talking about Eastern Euros, especially Russians. Culturally they're different from the rest of Europe and not always welcoming to Americans.

I've been to Europe myself and was told I was humble for yank. Not saying that non eastern euros hate America but we're viewed as arrogant of there.

The old man has never been favored against a puncher, yet he always kicks their asses.

Underdog against Trinidad, big puncher, schooled and TKO'ed. Underdog against Tarver, Ring champ at 175, big punch, just KO'ed Jones and beat Johnson and decisioned Jones, Hopkins coming up 15lbs to school Tarver. Underdog against Pavlik, huge puncher, just TKO'ed Taylor and beat him by decision, schooled by B-Hop. Underdog against Pascal, not a big, big puncher, good puncher but B-Hop kicked his ass anyway. Finally Tavoris Cloud, the biggest mystery I have seen in odds for a B-Hop fight is how the hell was Hopkins underdog against such a sh-t fighter. I couldn't believe it pre-fight, and I still can't believe it post-fight.

HBO is interested in making Kovalev vs Hopkins. When the fight is made and Hopkins whoops that ass, I will just see all of the stupid excuses that reoccurs right after B-Hop schools a guy who was supposed to knock his head out of the ring.
