Ringside:Paul smith mentions hints porter could be doping

I heard him say this. Wasn't sure he actually said that because its pretty controversial. Definitely mentioned 'substances'

 

Porter is a lot bigger than Paulie even though there in the same weight class think that was the main reason for the KO he just overpowered him from the start

 

Was never a KO artist and suddenly become an absolute animal in the Malignaggi fight. Plenty of reasons to be suspicious.

 

There's a reason why Eddie made sure random testing was put into the contract when agreeing a deal for the fight to take place.

 

I don't think he'd say that without good reason and the fact Malinaggi is a regular on Ringside says to me that Paulie mentioned something to him. I remember listening to Paulie speak about it on the phone to Ringside and he was been very subtle and not mentioning it but saying how "surprised" he was by his strength. Paulie is a veteran and has fought everyone, for him to speak like that about someone is concerning. Either way, I don't think it's right for anyone, especially Paul Smith, to make accusations like that.

Anyone know I'd Porter has agreed to the extra drug testing in the contract for the Brook fight?

 

Yeah, but it's not like anyone respects Pauli's 'power', is it? Like Porter had any reason NOT to put it on Paulie like he did.

 

Nobody has done to Paulie what Porter did though?

The fact is he was never considered a KO machine, had been the distance in his last 5 fights and then manages to demolish a world class fighter in a way we'd never seen before.

There's plenty to be suspicious about. It doesn't mean he's on the juice, but given the ****-poor attitude the American authorities have towards drug testing you have to be wary about these sorts of things. Hell, they didn't even test Gamboa the other night and the guy was implicated in a drugs scandal.

He does look like a bit of a unit, I'll say that about him. Like a mini Joshua.

 

Porter used to fight at 168. He cuts a massive amount for each fight. There's more of a worry about diuretics. Paul Smith is a ******, and Paulie always makes excuses for his losses.
