I say he his if you factor in H2H. In my opinion at his best he would beat every heavyweight ever except Ali, Lennox Lewis,Evander Holyfield, Vitali Klitschko and Wladimir Klitschko and Foreman. If you factor in his legacy then he clearly is not because he doesn't have a win over a great fighter who was anywhere close to their prime, the Douglas loss, the Holyfield ear biting debacle, getting ground into hamburger meat by Lewis and quitting on his stool against McBride.
i think that it is fine if you put him closing the top 10 because he is the youngest hw champion ever, he was much more dominant than larry holmes and he faced anyone in his prime.. and he just destroyed all them the top guys when he was in his peak with rooney. i would put him between the 10 or 13 in legacy, h2h in his peak he is a top 5
I dont like him. But yes he is. He tore up the division like nobody else. His opponents had more holes than a string vest. However many had ability at some point and the numeracy and manner of his reign has to be respected. Those that lived through and remember his time will testify that he seemed from another planet.
Yes, he is, but if he is not, then he is close to it. He is personally number 9, but he could go as high as 5, and as low as 13.
