Nah... turns out that Cillessen sucks when it comes to penalties and that was the obvious solution, but I think the eventual effect was mostly mentally.
Costa Rica players must really have had a WTF moment there. :!:
And yes, I'm very relieved. This was such a typical Holland match in wich they were much better as the opponent and the ball just miraculously won't go in, and then the other team wins on penalties. But lucky for us history didn't repeat itself for once. :yep

Absolutely brilliant! The tactical move of the WC thus far... the absolute opposite of Advocaat substituting a young Robben at the 2004 EC!!
And no, I always knew they were going to win. It was merely a prolonged moment of pleasure with the extra time and the penalties! We're unbeatable, and if the world haven't figured that out yet that's merely because we're much smarter too :bart
