Listen BOTH are good in their own way. Even though MMA is more difficult Boxing is a pure sport. I'll admit it I could NEVER be a Boxer. However, I could be an MMA fighter, BJJ/Wrestler, or an action actor. So, I will give you guys credit for that. I think we should give all the guys who risk their bodies credit. Hopefully, this pointless Boxing Vs MMA war can end. :think

    Inferiority complexes :fight ?

No, but seriously, MMA has some flaws and isn't pure like boxe is, but it is a respectable, exciting and complete fighting sport, and apart from the scumbag ****** Dana, there isn't much to really hate.

I too don't understand why mma get so much trash from boxing fans. MMA is what Bruce Lee always dreamed of, a fighting discipline that incorporate all the other ones, from boxing to kickboxing to judo to wrestling.

It is complete. May not be flawless to watch, but it has a very strong identity and reason to exist.

It's still very young, new, and growing, but i think between another decade or two it will be respected much more.

It's boring. The crowd freaks out if someone lands a jab .. usually they just stand in front of each other, throwing some cheap punches or lie on the floor. It's just boring and hyped in the US because this country doesn't have any intresting boxers since the fall of the Berlin Wall. People also like MMA there because Wrestling becomes **** if you turn adult and because the superficial injuries make the crowd think it's brutal because of much blood.

The crowd in MMA reminds me of the supporters of the US during the World Cup.

Snooker had more viewers in the UK than MMA, so you see .. it's just boring as ****.

Agreed and I always respected Bruce Lee. I'm glad he is a so marked legend. When I made a thread of him before so many people disrespected his legacy.

MMA is still growing that's why snooker probably had more viwers in the UK. Also, I still like Pro Wrestling other than WWE.

Most of us on other forums speak highly of Boxing. To be frank, it's mostly the Boxing fans that are obnoxious.

For my part, I don't hate mma. I watch it all the time. I hate mma fans though.

Really got tired after years of hearing "Boxing is dead." "Boxing is boring." "Only old people like boxing." "A blue belt in Jiu Jitsu could beat Wladimir Klitschko." "Boxing only has two stars but mma has like, a million."

Its actually the other way around TBH. Boxing has been in existence for many many years. MMA, well , you know, i think it is no more than 2 decades.

You dont hear Bruce Buffer, Showtime crew, HBO crew bashing MMA while you do hear Rogan and White taking shots at boxing.

Dana white and joe rogan make it a point to attack boxing, say it's dying, and that mma is a superior sport, and while they do this they claim to be huge boxing fans. Their followers, the big ufc fans, you know the ones, the guys wearing tap out and affliction t shirts, follow that example and attempt to bash boxing.

Now me, I can enjoy MMA, but it is just something I do not follow. However, I will defend my favorite sport, the sport I love when they try to talk down about it. While MMA may encompass many styles it is not more difficult or more challenging than boxing. An equal amount of hard work goes into learning a craft, with boxing being on different focus points.

doenst matter what the sport is: the best fights the best. it's waht sports is all about.

tje thing with mma, they have laid out the rules that favor the offensive fighters which makes the sport so exciting.

you can easily go all out attack 3 out of 5 rounds. 4 rounds to be sure and coast at the last.

    or rest in the middle.

your opponent looks to do the same.

youre better off looking to koing/submitting your opponent than defending because you cant expect the opponent to tire in 3-4 rounds.

you plan to defend for 2 rounds, youre in a big hole.

thats' waht happened early on, with the fight yesterday with wiedman-machida.

machida lost the frist 3 rounds and never recovered.

there is almost no dull rounds in mma. if youre involved in a senseless grappling, refferee is oging to break you.

MMA has been around FAR longer than Boxing. FAR longer. MMA goes back centuries in history.

With that being said, UFC fighting is like the lowest form of MMA fighting. Too much ground and pound, and not enough skill in my opinion.

If UFC stayed true to MMA. I'd watch it. It doesn't.

Boxing shits on UFC anyday of the week.

    Yesterday's show was quite good

I've liked MMA more and more for the past couple of years, more technical than people think, even the ground work
