    Round 9

Chagaev is swiping down from his eyebrows with the slow hatchet right jab, not scoring much but driving Oquendo across the ring. Oquendo is widening his stance and inching away from Chagaev in a crab-walk, throwing left jabs overhead as Chagaev stays low, guard up over his face. Hard left hand by Chagaev. Oquendo is angered, darting in with a 1-2, blocked. Oquendo recoils to the outside, reloads, and comes back with another whipping 1-2. Chagaev lets it graze the sides of his head as collateral damage and lands another left.

    10-9 Chagaev

    90-81 Chagaev

No surprise that it happens in Russia. :!: There is always something fishy.

Imagine being in the opposite corner and seeing an actual president in the opposite corner giving the home fighter advice. Good for moral I bet.

They gave three rounds to Oquendo, and said another (round one) may have been Oquendo's.

    Round 10

Chagaev is waltzing in, pushing up a jab, and scooting outside in a predictably repetitive pattern. Oquendo fails to capitalize with any counter-punches, leaning away from Chagaev when he closes in and only starting to jab when Chagaev is on the way out, barely ever touching him. Oquendo rolls up a right uppercut from behind his ribs when Chagaev loops in a left, but neither of them is close enough to connect.

    10-9 Chagaev

    100-90 Chagaev

Oquendo is boxing but not fighting. You gotta want it more. He is not doing enough. It seems like he is ok with the way fight is slipping away and isnt gonna do anything to turn it around. Chagaev has been more than beatable tonight..

As I understand it, when presidents of former Soviet republics take the oath of office, they are also sworn in with a cornerman's license.

So who do you guys think between the winner of this fight (probably Chaggy), and WBC holder Stiverne is the real consensus heavyweight champion right now? :p

Did you see Oquendo landing? :huh

He mostly did a lot of shadow-boxing on the outside, from what I could see.

That would be a brutally one-sided unification, and the styles match-up given Chagaev's present abilities would flatter Stiverne even more than did Arreola.
