Padded record or not he's fighting a guy with a WINNING record . For Fack sake if anyone wants to critizize look closer to home .

The guys fought our best and beat them , How about Broadhurst , jumping in and seeking a rematch , Err don't think so , he got stopped after being fed losing records and padded up to fack , , There was and is a case for padding records if ever i seen one , and the list goes on and on .

Berridge took the fights he was supposed to lose and smashed our lads , good luck to him hope he smashes this guy and gets a fight with the winner of Kovalev and Capperello.

This didn't fail to disappoint, horrible mismatch. Berridge would have been better to fight Tahaia

Because fighting a local NZ guy with very very few followers & no international recognition would have achieved Berridge more than this fight?

    I dont think so.

Padded record or not, the Brazilian was worth a lot more to Berridges record than the arrogant Taihia.

Excited to hear who Rob is taking on next.

So NOT fighting a guy who was on the Contender here in Aus, and has a draw and 1 win against a guy who gave Anthony Mundine a good fight 2 fights ago. But yet he chooses to fight a guy who NO ONE has heard of, not even in Brasil and his only Big win was against a 50 YEAR OLD KOREAN. Tahaia by Boxrec numbers is rated at 111 as to Damasco whos in at 218???
I like Berridge but this as I have stated before is NOT a move forward.

Don't worry boys, Berridge v Taihia WILL happen.

Its only a matter of when, not if, and will be a good local fight, with plenty on the line for both boys.

I can tell you that Berridge is on the move now, he will be fighting overseas in August.

Not for me to quote who or where, however it'll be made public shortly

Hope it's on TV if it's a good quality opponent the butcher is fun to watch.
Will it be better than this Rogerio chucklehead?

I remember when Berridge got screwed over by AUS Boxing when he fought Foley and the ref assisted Foley in beating the count. Anthony Shipley I believe it was, a clear breach of his duties yet he was allowed to contuine to referee fight after fight, he should have been given the ass but since its a boys club they really do nothing to prevent corruption within the sport.

Good to see however that Berridge went on to extract some revenge and knock Foley out in February this year.

I like Berridge's style, gutsy fighter who;s exciting to watch.

For those of you who were talking about Tahia,

    This might be of interest.

    :patsch

Dude is an utter scumbag. While Berridge was over in Aus fighting Foley, that shitbag & his mates stole the Butchers car. Im glad that low life didn't get a shot with Berridge.

I remember that, that was terrible. The worst was that ref who saved Brad Pitt from Oganov.
