You're going on about respect but then you resort to sectarianism :-( This is a boxing forum so why don't you educate us all with your boxing knowledge if you have any that is. You've proved you're the only no mark on here Peter Pan :deal
Never called anyone an animal u twat. Number 2, no mark I am more successful than u can ever know. Typical keyboard warrior, all mouth no action. U are a bawbag
Even as a Rangers Man I cant defend these comments, absolutely embarrassing. No place in society let alone a boxing forum. Boxing has always prided itself on having no time for racism, bigotry of any kind, and so have the fans. Example, my favourite ever boxer is a Celtic fan, did that bother me? NO, I even used to sing at his fights Scott Harrison Simply THE Best better than All the Rest to A) Support him 2) To show narrow minded idiots like you that it doesn't matter what team boxers/fans support! But obviously you are not a true Boxing fan, and if you are a Bluenose you give our great club a bad name with your filth. SHAME ON YOU
Well said Moog :good That idiot should be banned he brings nothing to the forum. Anyway back to boxing I hear there reports that Hearn's interested in making the fight for later in the year.
Yeah mate, money talks. Only thing is Ricky is running away upto LWW, and Scott said he is not moving up. Would love to see Scott fight Zlatiticanin as I believe he is made for Scott. He send punches with a telegraph, is short and lacks speed. Nothing there to trouble Scott (even an old rusty Scot). As long as he gets a 12 week training camp he will do damage
Correct Moog Scott's not a light-welterweight he could probably still do super-featherweight they way he trains so hard. I just find it funny that Scott's on his way back then Burns is jumping up a division it stinks of Broner all over again. It wasn't long ago old Alex said the idea of the fight was laughable because Scott didn't have a licence and Ricky was world class operater, but the only thing laughable was Ricky's last performance and now that Harrison's on his way back I don't see what the problem is, it's the biggest fight out there for Burns at the minute he needs Harrison now, but it seems old Alex is avoiding the call to fight Scott by moving up. As for Zlaticanin he's a small lightweight so his size wouldn't be a problem for Scott. Yes he's a southpaw, but he's not the bag of tricks that switchitting Liam Walsh was and I think Scott would do well against Zlaticanin if he got the correct notice. Scott would certainly do better than Burns poor effort that's for sure.
Seriously i just dont get this whole post , Ryan and Moog your are hero worshiping a guy who flushed his carreer down the pan with his hellraising lifestyle , yet abso slaughtering a model pro who lives the life and loves the sport , scott might be a gym animal but his lifestyle out the ring tottaly over shadows any progress he ever makes in the ring , 1 step forward 2 steps back imo !!!! You boys need a reallity check
As big a fan I am of both Ricky and Scott I really don't think either one would be avoiding the other, Ricky would feel him being younger and keeping himself in shape for years would give him the advantage and Scott would say his strength and Ricky's last few performances mean he would think he could win. Imo both fighters would jump at the chance to be crowned the best of Scotland!! Same goes for Alex Morrison, i'm positive he would believe in putting on the fight because it makes sense in money terms. It would sell out a massive arena even without a belt on the line because it could be hyped to death!! I think the weight issue could be true (I'm sure that Billy would be able to tell us) but I've personally saw Ricky turn up at 16 or 17 to box at 10st 10lbs to box at an amateur show, he was in shape and looking strong. His body must have filled out and turning into a man since!! I was surprised he even managed Super Feather for so long!!
Thought you would pop up Stevie! You're as much hating on Scott as we are hero worshiping and your previous post prove it, just like the one post where you said Scott took ecstasy before a fight, but his drug testing proved you're lying. You are heavily influenced by the tabloids and your constantly dishing the dirt on Scott, but you can have your opinion just keep it to the truth. As for slaughtering Ricky that is not the case. Burns looks finished at the minute and his performances back it up and even this old version of Scott Harrison looks like he will be able to go on longer than him because he's the better schooled fighter. That's the reality of it.
Fair enough David you make a good point only time will though. It's good to hear people believe the fight should happen for Scottish boxing :good
Ryan im not hating not lying , scotts a decent lad if you know him but if not a very brash boy and borderline bully in certain scenarios , the ecto story is 100% correct and i wasnt the only one there at the time , Scott was a great champ as was ricky , As for scott and the weight id say he was a natural LWW as he weighed 10st7 in the ring against Wayne Mcullogh at featherweight
Is that you Billy you sound like him. I can't believe this "brash boy" and "borderline bully". I mean look at Roberto Duran and Mike Tyson they weren't the timid type and neither is Harrison. Personality makes champions and Scott's got character you know that. You don't have to be an alter boy in boxing toughen up man. As for Wayne McCullogh Burns never beat a world class opponent like him.
Mate your Jagging , behave Rocky Martinez was on the p4p list and the ring magazine no1 at super feather , thats a better scalp thatn any scotts victims, As for the borderline bully , think back to scott being barred from every boozer in EK of which he broke a young boys jaw i worked with in the toilet for alledgedly looking at his bird , hardly a model citizen eh.............
Rocky Martinez on the P4P list you're definitely Billy, but if you're no then you're too close to his arse. Who did Martinez ever beat? Nicky Cook and a vacant title win over a guy handpicked and he was blew away at top level against Mikey Garcia and he also lost to Burns, so you're deluded thinking he's a P4P fighter. Wayne McCullogh was much better win than him as McCullogh won his title in Japan the hard way against a top level opponent and he also handled himself well at elite level against Erik Morales. McCulloch was a warrior and Scott put him in hospital and McCullogh still says to this day Scott was the strongest man he's ever shared a ring with. Scott's win over Manuel Medina and Julio Pablo Chacon are also better than Rocky Martinez.
Wayne was a natural bantamweight/superbantam ffs with no weight gain post weigh in and scotts ring weight was 17lb heavier behave mate :rofl
