the joke Sam Peter - who needed a gift decision to beat a washed up middleweight - knocked down the bum Klitschko three times three D class bums KOd him Tyson murders him
I don't like either one of these guys, so im as unbiased as they come, if this was a realistic scenario i would pull for Tyson only because im American and i would rather see the title here than Germany... If the fight were in the USA, id go with Tyson on points, if Smith, Tucker and Tillis go the distance I see no realistic reason why Klitchko couldn't, he in my opinion is better than Tucker and Smith... If the fight were in Germany id go with Klitchko by late stoppage, he would be able to get away with all of the holding hugging, and wrestling, and in a long tough fight it would really tire. a man out quick wrestling on the inside with someone nearly a foot taller, and 40 lbs heavier than you, not to mention i think Tyson would have a lot of issues with the long jab, and his stamina was never his strong suit, and the hostile one sided environment... Very interesting fight, anything could happen...
Tyson would knock him out. Vitali, despite his horrible resume, has much more tools to beat Tyson or give him a tough fight. Tyson-Wald would look something like this: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/06/26/article-0-0CAB329A00000578-29_634x359.jpg
In lasting the distance, they greatly diminished their chances to win because they were fighting to survive. Particularly Smith. I personally didn't see how the Tillis fight was supposedly close, I thought Tyson won by a pretty wide margin, although Tillis did show Tyson's tendency to get lazy in clinches and some vulnerability to uppercuts (a key punch against shorter swarmers). But Tillis was fighting very defensive too. We see the same thing a lot when Wlad fights opponents who taste his punches, then look largely to survive, and hope they can land a miracle punch. Haye's was the worst case since he constantly degraded Wlad's previous opponents for being scared and extra defensive and looking to just survive, and then he did the same thing and blamed it on his toe. Tucker actually did have a good start but Tyson started taking over from about the 5th round on and even outjabbed Tucker. Tucker supposedly hurt his hand, but we hear so often about injuries that I almost always take them with a grain of salt. I've seen Wlad use the uppercut nicely at times. It might come in handy here. I can envision a scenario where Wlad constantly clinches and leans down on Tyson, and lands his share of jabs and straight rights, and eventually adds in some uppercuts, and stops him late. But I think it's much more likely that Wlad doesn't make it out of the first few rounds.
look at Vitali's mournful expression in the background lol. Why are pulling up a fight from 2002 when this thread is about Wlad at the height of his technical and physical prowess in 2010?
Your right When i hear a guy say he was injured during a fight, to me it's just a cop out and a lousy excuse, Haye and his toe injury is a prime example.. Styles make fights you have a technical robotic fighter, against a guy who is going to have to be in his best mental an physical shape ready to fight a long hard fight in Tyson, and he will have to use constant head and upper body movement, the longer the fight goes the more Wlads chances of winning increase, like i said earlier Tyson sometimes seemed to lose focus in long fights , and stamina wasn't his greatest asset... There's also that chance Klitchko lands a.flush bomb on Mikes chin, fights over, Wlad has a lot more power than his brother and hits extremely hard... It in my opinion.boils down to whos more prepared and if it goes down to the wire who digs the deepest...:deal
i think that the size of wladimir would allow him to survive the distance, because tyson is too short and the difference of height would rest power to the shots of mike, so it would be an advantage for klitschko, still it would not save him of the defeat... he would be in front of the fastest specimen that he fought ever, he was explosive, elusive, full of energy, accurate puncher.. tyson by md, but it would not have been a walk in the park for mike, wladimir is huge, he had great power, great strength to handle tyson in the clinch, honestly if james smith could last the distance with mike, or tonny tucker i can´t see why wladimir can´t..
Most people voting for Tyson shows how dumb and biased boxing fans are. If this happened today the Vegas odds would be all Wladimir, and they know that, but you know Wladimir's "genetic condition" (cough cough) alienates him from the majority of the boxing community.
Holmes was never given respect, still isn't by a lot of people - African-American Nobody liked Ali in his day, and many still don't - African-American everybody hates Floyd - African-American Golovkin is Kazakh and gets all the hype in the world despite having no great wins yet Russian Provodnikov got all the hype in the world after the Bradley fight Russian Kovalev gets all the hype in the world dont pull the race/nationality card. it proves your ignorance and incompetence
That's exactly right, as good as Tyson's chin was Vlad has the power to put him to sleep if he lands a good shot. Don't get me wrong Tyson is by far the most exciting of the two but Tyson would be made to look like a baby in height and weight. If I had to put my money on it I honestly would pick Vladamir.
