He's just been on TalkSport still trying to have a go at Froch. Still saying everyone knows he won the first fight and it was only one punch that made the difference because he was winning the second. I never used to dislike Groves but now I despise the *****.Admit you lost to the better fighter instead of moaning about how Froch is still going on about him. He bitched to the world until he got his foot wrapped around his head so Froch is entitled to gloat for a long time yet. I'd have liked to have moved on and wished him well in the future(his upcoming fight is a WBC eliminator as well) but now I'd even like to see Chunky (who's not the most likeable) punch **** out of him.
Meh, WBC is the only real option for him to pursue I guess. I wonder if DeGale will mention that the fight is for a title that he dropped? I think the European title should be declared vacant if they are boxing for a WBC belt.
He is fighting a guy that has a real lack of power, and has spent nearly all his career fighting 4,6, and 8 rounder's. This suits George fine as he will look good at this level, always does. But he is like Kevin Mitchell when they step up to world class they get knocked out. George Groves is fringe world class, if and its a big if he ever wins a world title he will be a paper champ who will get beat whenever he steps up into the top 3/4 in the division.
Could of fought Julio Cesar Chavez Jr if he wanted to make a statement. Still think he has a lot to prove at word level, and as for the cr*p he is saying on talksport, thats the reason people go off him so quickly.
A paper Champ is not someone that beats a champion but is not likely to reign long. A paper champ is someone that claims to be a champion (through carrying a belt) despite never having beaten the champion. Cleverley was and Scott Quigg is the example of this. Froch is a IMO opinion a world champion. He has never been THE world champion.
You spend more time moaning about Groves than he does moaning about Froch. What's he said this time to upset you?
If they beat a poor poor champ as Bika is and never beat a world class opponent when the champion they are only a paper champ too
