Floyd Mayweather's goal for the past few years has been to stack his cards with decent names and good fights before the main event starts. We have seen fights like Canelo vs Mosley, Garcia vs Matthysse, (potentially) Broner vs Matthysse, Mares-Ponce De Leon, Khan-Collazo, Love-Rosado, John-Juarez, Katsidis-Escobedo, Morales-Cano, Vargas-Lopez, Canelo-Gomez, Latimore-Quintana, Molina-Smith(good intentions, sh-t fight). With that said, there is a trend nowadays, of boxing fans(likely anti Mayweather), who ask for Mayweather to further stack his undercards. You have a potential Matthysse vs Broner UNDERCARD...an otherwise main event fight...on the UNDERCARD. But still, people talking about Floyd has to put more good fights on his undercard. Who doesn't want a card of 5 really good fights, stacked with top 10 fighters vs top 10 fighters? Sign me up. But here's the problem, these same people don't talk sh-t about the absolute sh-t undercard of Floyd's rival, Manny Pacquiao. Freakin, Shoe Zimming? Whatever his name is. And then some top 10 fighter vs an absolute joke of a journeyman, or a has-been on his last legs. We're getting at least great fight as the undercard for Floyd's PPV, and have been getting at least one good fight o look forward to in every Floyd PPV since 2009. This is not the norm for undercards, they are filled with crap, a long tedious, sleep-inducing uncdercard. Especially those GOD AWFUL UK cards. And that Cotto-Martinez undercard!? Good lord. In conclusion, lay off the Floyd undercard insults. The guy picks and chooses what fight will be on his undercard and he's doing a damn good job at making his undercards worth the full price tag of $70, unlike his rivals. Hell of a lot better than any sad excuse of an undercard in the sport today.
he had broner, khan and he still couldnt do more than 850,000 arreola-stiverne did more than that with no stars on their undercards
This. Everyone thought, for good reasons, that the Maidana fight was ****. He still made **** numbers for having "the most expensive undercard ever." Pacquiao does similar numbers with "the worst undercard ever."
He had Broner and Khan, he needed Broner VS. Khan. And come on, really dont compare PPV numbers with non PPV numbers. Cotto vs. Martinez did like 350k. Those are MMA numbers, Mayweather is a huge draw.
Sorry I don't remember Mayweather-DLH, Mayweather-Hatton having spectacular undercards. You guys are bitter. The same fans that complain that undercards should be stacked, when Floyd steps up and does it, you insult him and say he has to do it to sell PPV's. You guys are bitter, rotten, anti boxing, anti Floyd fans.
I liked his undercard against the ginger, only because Garcia-Lucas was on the under card and that would be the best fight of the night, which it was. His last under card wasn't ****. Broner's ****** ass vs some bum, and Khan was an interesting fight only because he might get sparked out. Other than that his undercards haven't been ****.
If his undercards aren't sh-t, what does that say about the rest of boxing, and all of these PPV fighters like Pac and Cotto stacking their undercards with horsesh*t.
That's why I don't buy PPV now days. **** undercards and recently half the time it's been not even PPV worthy main events. For instance, Mayweather-Guerrero, Pacuqiao-Rios, Mayweather-Maidana, Canleo-Angulo, Canelo-Lara,
Im not defending him anymore. He's living good. Better than anyone talking ****, and has accomplished more than anyone talking ****. So who cares.
