I've made a sizable bet on LARA

Taking comments, questions, hate, praise. The bet was made with Lara at 2.45 for a fairly significant sum (less than 4 figures, greater than 2).

I actually think Canelo is underrated in how he will perform against certain styles. What I think everyone is missing in this fight is the Angulo fight.

When Canelo-Mayweather was signed, everyone with common sense could see Floyd UD a mile away. However, a lot of people thought "he's just a bigger JLC, he has a good shot!". Canelo is not a pressure fighter. He likes to box, counterpunch in combination, and use his power to win fights. The fact that Angulo, a PURE pressure fighter, was able to get at Lara's chin, doesn't mean Canelo will come close.

Among Canelo, Lara, Angulo, Trout, Austin Trout and Canelo have the most similar styles. The fact that Lara, a pure boxer struggled with Angulo is to be expected. The fact that Canelo, a boxer puncher had an EASY time with Angulo is also to be expected. The fact that we saw Trout and Canelo both struggle to get an edge in a very close fight, and then we saw Lara dominate Trout gives me a lot of confidence in this bet.

Ask yourself: is this fight likely to be fought in the middle of the ring?

I see that as a clear yes. Both guys box until they hurt someone.

Again ask yourself: who REALLY has an edge in the middle of the ring?

Is it the cuban-schooled, decorated amateur careered, faster handed, faster footed Lara? Or is it the more raw, powerful, silky combination Canelo?

One worry I have is Lara's over reliance on his left hand. If Canelo adjusts to this as he probably can, it will be hard for Lara to win clear rounds which may lead to an unfortunate judging decision.

not smart betting on this fight though, because there is a chance that Lara could get robbed by the judges. With fair judges, yes, Lara should get the win IMO

    I think Canelo wins this.

Motivation, he is motivated because he wants to make up for the PBF loss.

    And Lara is no PBF.

The judges will be all for Canelo Lara will have to win by KO to win on the cards. I wouldn't put money on him in this fight.

u have to know that anything close is going to canelo. i believe lara will school him...but unless he drops him several times or stops him, i don't think they're going to give him a decision. i hope i'm wrong.

If you're going to bet on Lara, you may as well just bet on him by KO and get the better odds.

I find it very unlikely he'll win on the cards.

As long as it's money you can afford to lose, I think it's a good bet. Canelo is not a pressure fighter and Lara has the faster hands and feet.

I'm picking Lara to win too though a robbery is highly likely if it goes the distance.

Stupid move, man. Did you see the Canelo/Trout score-cards? No way Lara can win this by decision.

I truly feel Canelo will gas and get knocked down at least once. I say good bet.
