Ike was a mess..... couldn't even remain a free man yet the Klitschko detractors think he had the mentality to beat some of the greatest heavyweights of all time? hilarious.

I think Ike beats Bowe. If Ike was able to beat a good boxer like Byrd and a tank like Tua, he must have been the man with the better boxing skills and the better physical strength since he succeeded to impose his gameplan against these 2 prime fighters. :yep

Anyway it would've been a tough fight for both guys.

With Eddie Futch kicking Bowe's arse, it would have been a very good fight. In the Golota fights Bowe did not listen to Futch and he paid for it. If not for Futch, Bowe would never have become a world champion. Eddie was not in Bowe's corner in the rematch, Eddie was very angry with Bowe.................

this is a pointless question since the man was incarcerated. When he supposed to win those titles ? During the prison time ? :patsch

Ibeabuchi came around at just the right time, Tyson was there to be taken, so was Holyfield and he had the goods to do a number on Lewis. The Klits hadnt really made a mark yet. Ike could have secured a bit of a legacy in that period. Maybe if a young Wlad had been matched against Ike instead of Sanders or Purrity, maybe Ike would have got that win? i think he would have beat that version of Wlad.

Tyson, Holyfield, Wlad, Lewis were all winnable fights for Ike during those few years.

But he always would have self destructed somewhere down the line and would not have reigned for long

Didnt he slam a knife into a table, when some HBO execs refused to call him 'President'?

Ike was such an enigma. In the short time he was around he looked like the real deal and a top heavyweight. Big, strong, good power, stiff jab, great work rate and a chin you could use as an anvil.

The Bowe that beat Holyfield the first time, I'd favour over Ike but every other version could be in trouble against Ike.

I'm sure he wanted to fight these guys but we all know that some fights are very hard to be made from certain reasons. Any of these guys would've seen in Ike a high risk and low reward type of opponent.

Had they been made, things would have been interesting.

Out of the 4, Lewis obviously would have been the hardest proposition.

But this would have been before Rahman, who knows, maybe Ike could have landed that big right hand if hed been given the chance.

We're never going to know, one thing we can agree on is Ike definitely had the potential and the timing to make a name for himself.

the late 90s and early 00s was the shifting of eras and Ike would have fit right in.

its interesting what Ike says in the post fight interview. I really think with his boxing skills, patience and physical strength he could've reigned the HW division. Maybe Lennox would've been able to beat this guy. Ike had it all.
