Not sure if this can go tits up to be honest. The base costs are going to be extremely low as its streamed and not a TV channel (Dave Coldwells app is free and that shows live streaming, so costs cannot be that high)

Its pretty much going to be money straight into Matchroom and the smaller promoters pockets.

Even if it only gets 10k subscribers its £300k a year revenue

At the moment Matchroom have it all their own way because of the sky deal. When BT get involved in boxing Matchroom will have serious competition.

You've been saying this for ages.

    Who will be the competition?

    Dunno about this BT thing.
They will be buying content not creating it. Who is selling?
FW has his own channel, Eddie has Sky and now this online venture ties up the credible smaller promoters and nobody else has any names to sell?

Maybe Sauerland would look at BT? With Groves and Price they will be putting on UK shows not tied to a network. Plus plenty of shows in Germany which would be at a good time for UK viewers.

Nothing to really challenge Sky / Boxnation but some easy to aquire / relatively cheap boxing

Sauerland is a good possibility, Price and Groves would be big enough to sell.

Sooner or later BT will commit to boxing. When they do, people will know about it. They will invest money, time and resources.

The competition will be whoever BT decide to support. It could one promoter with an exclusive deal, or several promoters. I'm talking 20-30 dates.

When BT get involved with boxing they will want big names. They may offer the likes of Brook, Quigg and Campbell huge money to join them. These fighters may be happy with Matchroom but the money will be too good to turn down. Matchroom could end up losing a 3rd of their stable within months.

BT as a company is bigger than sky. As a sports platform they will improve and grow dramatically in the next few years.

Do you work for BT?? Or are just their ultimate fanboy? All of that is based on your opinion with little fact. You have no idea whether BT will get involved and no idea how much they will spend. This isn't football. They will want a return on their money and boxing won't drive additional sales. Sky will tell you that.

Matchroom are gathering up the small promoters so they can exterminate them in one fell swoop.

No way Hearn has any interest in hooking up with Coldwell. Eddie is only interested in using and abusing.

Have you ever heard Kugan Cassius engage in serious conversation about tactical breakdowns or analysis of the state of affairs for a particular story?

I do watch some of his stuff but I find his approach a bit… Soccer AM. He's also a touchy little bugger on Twitter.

    I like James Helder though.

Would rather this Kugan Cassius show involve James, otherwise it's just Kugan asking the same old **** rather than have anything genuinely insightful to offer.

The USP for this Fight Pass is the streaming of small hall shows. Not Kugan.

That has to be the biggest load of rubbish I've ever written.

It's an incredibly long-winded way of you saying you haven't got a clue and you're making assumptions.

Why are you assuming Kugan will be the only person with a show?

It's going to be light-hearted fun as you'd expect from someone like him.
