That's not the case Moog, it was the same money he'd have got for defending against the awful Ethiopian he stopped in 1 min, but Scott would have got US recognition and had he lost would still be the FW champ

I would fancy Liam Walsh with his skills and switch hitting to beat Zlaticannin, who was very ordinary, and lacked a boxing brain.

The Ethiopian lad who fought out of Sweden was shocking, couldn't agree more, but what was shocking was that he was mandatory challenger, so if Scott never fought him he would have been stripped of title. So not Scott's fault. Its not like choosing to fight someone like Nicky Cook who couldn't stand up right let alone fight. As for Barrios he got beat of Guzman and Rocky Jaurez who were not as good as Scott (in fact Guzman signed to fight Scott and ran away), so Scott might have thought it wouldn't prove a lot. Scott was known over there, Bob Arum said that he was best 126-130ib fighter on the planet, and best fighter in UK. When Scott went to Moralas/Barrera and was ringside, I believe he was mobbed by fight fans over there.

Apologies for repeating myself, but somebody stated that JMM swerved Scott Harrison. :patsch

It has taken me a while to recover from that one

Whoever stated it must have started on the Buckie early this morning.

Billy the fight was announced for them to fight in Belfast, it is a known fact. Scott was to fight Marquez, who signed contract them pulled out, then Guzman who signed contract. Scott was then offered Barrera, had to turn it down as had contract with Guzman who then pulled out leaving Scott in limbo, and Scotts troubles began. U were in his camp so I have no doubt u know all this, was publicly announced, so why u cant remember I don't know !

Correct Moog the Guzman fight was announced for the Kings hall in Belfast and I had paid for tickets and travel, but Guzman ended up taking the Barrios fight up at super-featherweight. Martin Honorio then came in as a replacement, but went missing himself leaving Scott yet again in limbo without an opponent and as you said his troubles started.

moog I was never aware of any fight with Guzman, Barrara or Marquez
Ask yourself when Scott never made weight against Nicky Cook
He got stripped, so how could he possibly sign to fight Guzman for the title.
some of your claims about fights I simply never heard of especially Barrera, I do remember Guzman being mandatory to box Alex Arthur but not Scott.
If it was made public you will be able to find the articles?

tell me Ryan or Moog when was this fight with Guzman or Marquez ment to happen?
coz Scott lost his title when he failed to make weight against Cook so the mandatory wod have had to fight someone else?

One thing that both Scott and Ricky should have had is a unification fight that disappoints me

Why if it were made would Scott v Guzman be made in Belfast?
Scott had 4,000+ crowds in Glasgow so it doesn't make sense to go elsewhere?
I can assure you I was never in a camp to box Guzman

Billy Moog kindly put this link up earlier in the thread explaining how both Guzman and Marquez withdrew from their mandatory shots to fight Harrison. Joan Guzman I remember was meant to fight Scott in the summer of 2006.
As for Alex Arthur, aye Guzman relinquished his WBO super-featherweight title he won from Barrios to Alex Arthur after he beat Gogo Koladze for the Interim title.
