I think King said he wants a voluntary defense before they handle the mandatory situation. He will try to bribe his way with the WBC committee to get what he wants.

According to Wilder, it is Stiverne's camp who is holding things up. Wilder gets a lot of hate, but he seems to want his WBC title shot very, very badly.

This fight needs to get signed soon. It's guaranteed to be an explosive encounter, no matter what.

I think Wilder has a decent chance against Stiverne if he manages to keep his chin out of harms way. Wilder gets a lot of flak but the notion of "Stiverne just has to land a single punch then its all over" is of course vastly exaggerated.

Any fighter that gets involved with King suddenly becomes ridiculously inactive.

He fought once in 2010, twice in 2011, once in 2012, once in 2013. and once so far in 2014.

Has Wilder shown any serious indications that he's interested?, he's the challenger and he should be the one talking more about it if he's interested. Stiverne and King have no reason to duck someone like Wilder.

    If Im Wilder......

Im all over the news and social media talking up this fight. If Haymon were any kind of manager/promoter, he'd be doing the same thing.

If Wilder could beat either of Wlad, Chagaev, or Stiverne, it'd be Stiverne.

Not saying Chagaev is better than Stiverne, but he's a cagey veteran and knows how to use the ring and how to fight inside and how to grab that loose hand.

Stiverne has been pinned against the ropes taking shots. Albiet, mostly off the glove, but Wilder is a different league when it comes to who's pinned Stiverne down....ie arreola and Austin.

Wilder is maybe a 5/3 underdog in this fight simply b/c Stiverne hasnt proven an iron chin, and has the mobility of box turtle.

I like Stiverne....he's got good power. Good interior defense, but one the outside, he's sitting at the end of power shots using the guard as his defense and bending at the waist. A guy with Wilders speed and power could split that guard or go around it, and if Stiverne leaned away from a R hand, he could lean right into a L hook. And Wilder is a two handed puncher.

so......that said.......Wilder should be all over media calling Stiverne out. Haymon should be getting dates and venues arranged and petitioning the WBC for a purse bid date so he can make this fight.

Now.......there is that good chance that Wilder gets splattered across 3 states. And King would stand a better chance making this fight, then immediately signing a low risk fight vs the likes of Lucas Browne in a stadium in OZ. Then after that, DK could petition for another voluntary, especially if Stiverne fights twice in 6 months. Sign another quick voluntary vs Chisora or Price in the UK before coming back home to Miami for the mandatory Perez/Jennings. (Both of whom he'd beat IMO).
It's highly likely that Jennings/Perez winner would go the Chagaev route then, since they'd be forced to wait the maximum 18 months and they're both better off vs Chaggy.

I don't know who's stalling this, but the best money is gonna be made the faster this fight gets made. I won't say either is scared, but milking his mandate is not prudent for Wilder/Haymon, and unless the King has a bigger fight on his mind(Browne is OZ or Adamek in Miami), King should be looking to get this one signed and out the way, b/c on July 27th, King will have 18 months to make a fight with Jennings Perez.....and he's gonna have to squeeze a few easy ones in there if he wants to build his titlist up to an 8 figure fighter. :think:think:think

Good. I hope Stiverne ignores Wilder.

Wilder doesn't deserve a title shot

    Wilder definitely wants the fight.

But Don King has said Stiverne is entitled to a voluntary.

Wilder has directly stated that Stiverne's people would have to pay him $10 million to "step aside" aka not pursue his mandatory shot next.

I wonder if that's what King is trying to work out. :think:think

I always got the feeling Stiverne-Wilder might not happen next. I thought King might try to milk the title before facing Wilder.

Stiverne would be favored against Wilder but Wilder is a big young puncher and guys like Briggs and Adamek are much safer opponents for Stiverne.

I hope Stiverne-Wilder is next but I wouldn't be shocked if its Stiverne-Briggs first.

Don't see how Stiverne is entitled to a voluntary, the WBC forced Vitali to fight JC Gomez immediately after taking the title back from Peter.

After looking at Wilder's opponents up to this point shouldn't you be asking will Wilder avoid Stiverne? :huh

Wilder has not fought one single legit Top 10 contender. Not a single one. And you are asking if Stiverne is going to avoid him?:rofl:patsch
