Established as Jeff Fenechs lap dog perhaps, a guy who couldn't even defeat Beyer and refused to take responsibility for not performing on the night. So let's get this right, green, who had 23 fights before he fought mundane, including 6 regional title fights and 2 world title fights and earnt more money from boxing in 2005 than mundane-is only known because of mundane, and the ppv was only so large because of mundane, green had nothing to do with the ppv numbers, have I got that right, is that what your saying?:good

 

So I don't know where you live, maybe under a rock but in melbourne where I live green v bayer 1, was in all the papers especially after the decision, and 2 was aswell because of the circumstances that 1 was finished with, I have no idea how you think green made his name off mundine, they both grew enormously in public stature from their fight but green was very well known in melbourne, to state anything different would be a lie, regardless of whether he was known publicly through himself or fenech is irrelevant, he was well known, mundane was only known publicly because of his father(great man) and rugby, that was a bigger foot up than green ever received :deal

 

Maybe because he mentions his name all the time and has for ages. The Beyer rip off was news briefly Green has played the game well. He even droped his IBO belt and is now calling out a guy campaigning 30+ lbs lower than him. I don't like either fighter but you give it away in your posts(calling Mundine mundane).
Green has made the vast majority of his wealth off using Mundines name and the general publics hatred of Mundine. And good luck to him it spends the same as boxers who do the hard yards and requires less effort. But it's hardly honourable is it?

Green was fighting on Fox Sports fight nights FFS. If he was so **** hot why weren't the majority of his fights on PPV? Before he fought Beyer for the first time he was on a fox sports fight night card ffs lol. Sure he had a name, people do watch fox sports fight nights you know, but he wasnt a big enough name to be a main event PPV fighter in AUS, the first PPV fight im pretty sure he was on was against Beyer. Which of course is going to be on PPV because its a world title fight.

So you have one guy whos only able to get on PPV for the first time when he fights for a WT, and another guy whos had every one of his pro fights on PPV and your trying to tell me he didn't ride Mundines tail coat as often as he could? It was a known fact that Fenech was jealous of Mundines success with PPV shows. They wanted in on the lime light and sucess that was Mundine at the time.

Now guys like KT, well his fights were on PPV before he even fought for a WT. He was the main event in some of them and an undercard fighter in others during his early yrs.

Mundine could have told Green to get farked but he knew if he stired up the pot enough that all the haters would jump on board and he could cash in. He used Green like the muppet he is, and in return, he made Green a house hold name. Make no mistake about it, without Mundine Green wouldnt be what he went on to become.
