Thank you! Gilroy for Graham sounds reasonable. Percy Bassett is another I forgot. Excellent fighter.

Owen Moran is far too low. Knocked out Battling Nelson.

Herol Graham arguably beat Mike McCallum...

Where would you place Moran and Graham?

There's a good interview with Joe Miceli in" Jacobs Beach".

ps I read Tyrone Everett was very good but never saw him.

    Jesus Pimental?

Georgie Abrams was a good shout. Not many people can claim to have given Tony Zale, Marcel Cerdan and Ray Robinson all they could handle.

The only real issue I take with this list is the placing of Jim Driscoll at #18.

Those who saw him placed his skill level on a par with that of a Joe Gans or Benny Leonard.

Wasn't Mike Gibbons a title claimant?

Pedro Montanez and Charley White deserve to be above some on the list.

You know, I thought of that. Klompton would know better than me. But I've read a lot on that era and I can't recall Gibbons ever claiming the title. Tons of other guys, but not him.

Can't really argue with such an undertaking...But will just say George Benton would fit in there nicely. Uncrowned middleweight champ. Skillwise gives any middle on here listed a good run in his prime.

I don't think Benton was better than Abrams, and he had chances to shine. Not championship calibre.imo

so many make 50 in place of others.

but Era's and multiple failed attempts at world title shots should determine some fighters over others.
