    Herrera is reaching out with his left jab. Perez tucks up tight, elbows locked between his nipples and thumbs squeezed together over his eyes. Counter jabs put out cautiously by Perez, snapping back to position when done throwing and stepping left around Herrera. Lunging overhand right lead by Herrera connects on the temple of Perez. Clinch. Break. Right hand by Herrera. Clinch. Break. Perez pushes out a jab, forearm turned over and scrubbing across Herrera's back, as Perez leans down and initiates another clinch. Herrera parries a jab with his right glove and marches up close but is clinched before he can land. Herrera dusts the back of Perez's head with a hook. Perez walks into him and they clinch again. Perez is holding onto Herrera's left arm, bashed in the head with his right. Left and right hooks by Herrera. Flush right hand by Herrera, Perez hurt and holding. Perez sticks out long jabs. Herrera jumps in past them and lands his own jab. Shoeshine on the body by Herrera. Hooks on the body by Perez. BIG counter left hook by Herrera on the jaw.

    Odd how often "interim" title fights give us some great bouts, the Koki Eto ones in Thailand were both amazing fights just like this one.
