    Oquendo is pressuring with the jab and left hook on the front-foot, shooting his left glove a couple of inches straight up into the air to keep Mares guessing. Counter jabs by Mares circling away, straight and sharp but not followed up on. Body slapping flurry by Mares as Oquendo walks into him. Clinching and body slaps by Mares.

    Mares is too small at Feathweight.

    His punching power was never great at Bantamweight and it's worse at Featherweight plus he'll have height and reach disadvantages with pretty much every opponent at 126lbs.

    There are three types of people with bad chin:

    The ones who don't believe they have a bad chin so it doesn't affect them mentally (Khan)

    The ones who are aware they have a bad chin but don't let it affect them mentally (RJJ?)

    And the ones who are aware they have a bad chin but it affects them mentally - Mares?

    **** happens in boxing...Mares shouldn't have switched trainers after his loss. It's not like he made a huge fundamental mistake.
