ATG refers in great part to ATG abilities. Toughness, will to win, killer instinct, ability to take a punch...technical skills...the ability to block, parry, slip, bob and weave, feint and then counter with ko blows to vital areas of an opponents body. Dempsey had all of this in spades. Wlad much less so.
tough fight, does Dempsey get of fast like Sanders and do serious early damage or does Vlad take Jack out for a walk in the park and keep his head snapped back with the jab and the occasional right hand and bring Jack into the later rounds where the rockets will flare Haye and Sanders were quick starters and Big punchers like JD with speed and Vlad improved from his first effort so I am thinking prime vs prime Vlad could do it but not a fight I would bet on for even money.
Lol I can't believe how close this voting is. Just goes to show how stupid and bias some guys on the Classic section are. Wlad would beat him to a bloody pulp. Dempsey wouldn't get out of round 2.
If Dempsey's early rushes to get inside are thwarted then so his chance for victory. Klitschko by mid-round kayo
Was the Wlad who fought Sanders a prime version? Or the guy who has ruled the division for the better part of 8 years? Who is the best big heavyweight that Dempsey beat? The 37 year old version of Willard who hadn't gone any meaningful rounds for 4 years? The Fulton who, tho large of frame, had a weak mandible and never really panned out, who was similarly KO'd by Wills and Miske? Carl Morris on a giant losing streak? The horribly amateurish Firpo? Wills? Oh, no, scratch that.
The Wlad that fought Haye was a prime version the one that fought Sanders had lessons to learn....the one that fought Haye would be a difficult man for anyone to beat
Rose colored glasses syndrom. Easy as that. Dempsey will get easily destroyed. The man doesnt even weight 200 pounds. He has no physical advantages at all. No skill advantages either. Total mismatch.
