id like to have Ricky at no1 but after his last 3 fights and no wins it makes it a tough call

I know what you mean and you can make a case for a few of them but with the jaw thing against beltran and that knock down in his last fight there hard stumling blocks to come back from in a fight crawford was just too good! But has he slipped that much from the burns that beat mitchell comfotably I dont know,

I would probably have Ricky at No 1, until Crolla or Mitchell can prove they have what it takes at World level Ricky is probably ahead on experience alone.

"And you have crolla number 1, mathews holds a win and a draw over him??"

If Crolla fought Derry again then Crolla would breeze past him. Lot of respect for Derry but he is on the slide now

dont be fooled guys Burns is No1 even though he's lost his last two, there a massive gap between world level and our domestic level

That highlights a massive issue for me then Billy , if thats the case Rickys been getting domestic level sparring for world class opponents and there lies the problem possibly why hes been falling short against Beltran Crawford and Zlat , Beltran sparred with Rios Crawford with Timothy Bradley which is a mass gulf in class from Mitchell Luke Campbell and Selby tbh mate

we sparred with the best that was avalible in the UK, do remember Steve Ricky's wife was pregnant near one of the fights so to go abroad which I suggested many times wasn't an option

Ricky is no1, he has looked poor as has been said many many times but its been against good opposition, not sure about Zlaticanan but he's still unbeaten and I've a feeling he is better than people are giving him credit for.

For the Zlaticanin fight, the politics of Scottish boxer is a problem, as Scott Harrison would have been the ideal fighter for Ricky to spar with to prepare for him

I wish I could agree Billy but after the broken jaw he's not been the same, he's terrified of it going again and where before he was happy to take a shot to get one off that's not now the case. He's no longer able to press his opponents because he's preoccupied protecting his jaw.
