well you can look at it short term like that and you make a point

but if a fighter truly believes he is great and destined for big things yet feels he is being brought along maybe a little to fast (certainly the case if he is getting thrown in with pac after only 1 notable fight, not to mention the weight class etc) then he needs to look at the trade off. for instance canelo put off fighting floyd after mosley stating he was not yet ready, canelo knew he was going to be a big force in the future and wanted to be ready to take floyds thrown when he fought him, not just rock up try and give himself a good account and take the paycheck.

algieri may think he is truly destined to become a HUGE HUGE star in the future weather he is right or wrong NO ONE yet knows. but he seems to think the loss to pac is not worth the offer arum is giving him
