Ali was his fastest before he even fought at the modern heavyweight lower weight limit.
By the time he was Haye's HW size he had chub and was slowing down.

Escort me out while the crowd pelts me with garbage but it's true. I know he's a cultural icon in America so we can't say anything negative about him etc etc.

It gets old doesn't it. I live in america but it gets so old watching americans cling to their nostalgia when it comes to heavyweights.

Even if you said something dead obvious like Wlad and Haye being in far better shape than fat little guys like Frazier, they would find some way to debate it, say back then outsized reckless brawlers with fat rolls were "different from today" and accuse you of trolling.

you must mean another frazier, since the ABSOLUTE truth is that frazier regularly fought 15 rounders, which takes more stamina than fighting 12 rounders (haye and wlad).

    you cannot argue against this.

but you have a right to believe the impossible, you can choose to do that.

Haye was an embarrassment in the Wlad fight. What a disgraceful performance.

Wow he fought more rounds so his stamina was better huh?

you wish that was my argument don't you?

but fact remains fact, they fought 3 rounds more, so the evidence suggests that they were fitter than guys who fight 12.

now are where your facts again? fraziers belly?
it seems you are the one whose argument is **** compared to the actual facts, so you crush beercans on your own slaphead.

Actually it just suggests that fights went 15 rounds. Fighters would have to pace themselves very slightly more. That's about it.

Where is your proof that modern fighters would collapse into a coma at the start of round 13? Did Fraziers muffintop physique grant him mystical golden age stamina?

Here is a better question: Where were the superheavies during the 15 round era?

Have you seen those videos of Joe Frazier competing in a wide assortment of athletic competitions in 1973? It was the most pitiful thing to watch. The man is a disgraceful athlete, and he gave the so called "greatest of all time" a run for his money every time they met each other in the ring (hell he even beat him once). Ken Norton by most people's opinions beat Ali twice, and struggled with a bunch of other no names that no one has a clue about. This is the man that is supposed to be able to beat titans like the Klitschko brothers, or Lennox Lewis?

Don't hold your breath for the old time nuthuggers to ever implement any sort of logic, or rational in their defensive rhetoric for their favorite fighters. They are by far they most ******ed fan base in the boxing community. At least the raging Floyd fans have somewhat of a point when they defend the actions, or ring performances of their man. The 'old time nuthuggers' as they are commonly referred to are just a very ******ed bunch. Just confine them the classics section so they don't spread their ******ation like a venereal disease.
