Roy fights a prime Haye at CW instead of Ruiz at HW. Does Roy survive and gets a decision, or does he get clipped and KTFO?
Jones Jr wins this. It's before his glass mandible got shattered along with his confidence and Haye wouldn't get near him. Y'all musta forgot!
Haye by sleep inducing KO within 4-5 rounds. Haye has problems with fighters who have too much size and reach than he does. he'd have no problems with someone the size of Roy. he wouldn't even find his speed a problem. but if they were around at the same time as each other and in the same weight division, can you really see Roy getting into the same ring as Haye? because i can't.
Haye would have decapitated glass jawed fraud Jr. Wayne Braithwayte and Juan Carlos Gomez would have KOd him too. Even Jirov would. Roy would not have taken what James took to beat Jirov. If Toney was not drained to near death the way he was against Jones, at the very worst he would have put a far more competitive fight if not caught Jones with a counter and put him out. And Toney was never a big puncher.
Haye at cruiserweight was absolutely terrifying. He stopped all the fighters he faced, every single one of them, while becoming the last undisputed cruiserweight champion. And he was really big for cruiser, he had to cut weight and to dehydrate to make the cruiser limit.
Haye was actually taken the distance once at cruiser by Ismail Abdoul. But Abdoul has a damn good chin, only stopped once in 29 losses and that lone stoppage was by TKO in the 12th by the current WBC champion. But yes Haye was a huge hitter at cruiser, by far the biggest puncher Jones Jr would have ever faced. Haye might struggle a bit with Jones Jr speed early on, but even in his prime Roy had a tendency to back himself onto the ropes and someone as fast and as powerful as Haye would take advantage of that and stop him by Brutal KO.
