W. Klitschko's two wins over Byrd are much better than Lewis's two best ever wins

V. Klitschko had a pretty easy time with Chris Byrd prior to the injury. Vitali would have beat Byrd in a rematch just as easily as his brother did.

Wlad is the better Klitschko? Better at what? Wlad has the numbers but Vitali was the much more durable of the two. He was never down despite being stopped twice. He had a shoulder injury vs. Chris Byrd in a fight he was clearly winning. Vs. Lewis he was stopped on cuts but was winning that fight 4 rounds to 2 at the time of the stoppage.

Ok, back to Lewis. lewis was KTFO twice and avenged both losses by KO (McCall didn't really want to fight in their rematch, not Lewis' fault). Wlad has been KTFO 3 times, he avenged one of those losses. Lewis was only down twice in his career. Wlad was down 3 times vs. Sam Peter. he was also down vs. Sanders and Brewster. Lewis stopped Ruddock, Bruno, Morrison, Golota, Briggs, Grant, Rahman, Tyson, V. Klitschko, and others. He outpointed Tucker, Mercer, Holyfield, Tua, and others.

Holyfield did pretty well vs. Lewis in their rematch but not their first fight. As for Holyfield vs. Byrd? Holyfield did well in the 2nd half of the fight but was definately even more past prime vs. Byrd than he was vs. Lewis. Styles make fights. Byrd was way outsized vs. Wald and paid for it. I'm sure Lewis would have beat him clearly as well.

H2H? I'm still going with Lewis until Wlad shows me a reason to think otherwise.

 

How is Vitali Klitscko the worse klitschko when he only has 2 losses, 1 to byrd and the other to lewis. Lewis whupped klitschko in fewer rounds than byrd. Even George foreman admits Lewis is the best fighter since Ali. Up until Lewis domination the best post ali fighters were

Lewis is at the top of that list, there isn't a single fighter since muhammad ali who could beat Lewis

and to reiterate my post, how many times was Lewis GENUINELY in trouble/hurt in any of these fights? The Mercer fight was tough and close, and Vitali hurt him in the 2nd round, apart from that?

Why didn't Wlad rematch Sanders?

 

Lewis has an amazing record. One of the best ever. It is too bad Bowe couldn't find his nuts or he'd be on the list too.

I think Wlad's is a bit underrated, and I think the Byrd wins are great wins, but it is not in the same ballpark as that of the Pugilist Specialist.

there is no good answer. no hw champ in history has acted in such a cowardly manner - its quite possible that wlad was trying to set a precedent for a champ and this was his way of doing it. No one can match him in his gibbering cowardzaghe run, nor I doubt ever will.

Vitali was bludgeoning Byrd for 10 rds....you might be able to give Byrd the 5th, but thats it, and he was still outlanded outhrown out agressivednessed, and Vitali landed the more damaging blows.

Vitali threw his shoulder out in the fight, but SHOULD have finished it one handed and had his first MARQUEE win, a 119-109 UD over Byrd.
